I'd like to see the concept of this challenge for someone the boys don't necessarily know what their favorite food are. Makes them think more critically and show a wider range of cuisine for someone they know that much about/don't know at all.
Barry missed the perfect chance for a throwback by blowtorching the peppers. Especially after mentioning Kush always having his.

PREACH!!! Garnishes should be edible! If you are willing to put it on the plate, it should be edible or at least reusable. Edible garnishes show artistry and planning. Inedible ones are definitely inferior.

This feels like a foodie love letter from Ben to Kush and I'm so here for it
I'd be interested to see what each of the guys would make for THEMSELVES as a dream menu, because as much as I've enjoyed this format, they each appeared to have been somewhat disappointed in what they got and seemed like they were trying to hide it, lol. Except Mike, he was honest and deserves a redo.
Could have used cloud berries.

We watch the dream menu series for the in-jokes, the gentle ribbing, the camaraderie and the anecdotes. We watch so we can see them all beam at the end: the friend beaming with surprise and delight at what they are eating and the cooks beaming with pride that they made a custom menu for their friend to enjoy. We watch so that for those brief 20 minutes we can forget everything else going on and feel like we are seated at that table, eating with friends. Mike’s dream menu feels like it is missing that. It’s missing the heart that has grown this community over the years. I think that is why so many in the community want to see the team, including James, coming together to make the same menu for Mike. From past videos we know that the chefs make very different versions of the same dish with the same ingredients so we’d love to see Kush explain to the others his thought process for creating the original menu. Ultimately though, we want Mike to know how special he is and show him the love and appreciation he so rightly deserves.
I get the despise of inedible garnishes
Back in 2022 our canteen had to do some cuts, do to inflation, so they cut back on size and quality, but EVERY single meal HAD to have pea shoots
pea shoots cán be eaten, they cán look nice, but after a month + where they have ben mismatched with a 3rd of the dishes, you start to hate them.
Another comment here for a redo for Mike! He deserves so much more than what he got 🥺

For a twist on the dream menus, ask them to write down their actual dream menu.
Then cook it and see if it meets expectations.

if Sorted truly claims to listen to their followers then ffs #justiceformike. Is it not clear enough that it's what the people want? After every single "dream menu" there are so many comments asking for it. The "resetting" comment by Ben and Barry is I'm sorry to say, weak. Come on guys… Do you all hate Mike or something?
