My feet are sore from simply watching this video.
Great suggestions.
My Mom and I went to Angelina's at Versailles Palace because we were hungry and your right, not that impressive. I did however enjoy Angelina's jam I bought and took home 🏡
Nice video. For those with a limited time to visit my birth city, it pretty much covers the main attractions. When hungry, don't hesitate to explore side street where you can enjoy a good lunch at a much lower price than on the main arteries. Enjoy!
You guys are the best I always watch your videos my dream is to go to Paris but very soon 😘🩷
Don't go for 4 days. Go for at least a week!! I used to go for 10 days, so that I could spend time just wandering around neighbourhoods relaxing.
Does the hotel de ville still have the Olympic rings outside of it?
Merci beaucoup pour cette nouvelle information touristique
Would you all happen to know a good immigration specialist that can help me with a visa coming from the US? Thank you!
Bonjour mes amis. This is one of the best video you've ever done. I tried to download the itinerary, but it doesn't work. The link goes to your page, but there is no download link there.
Do you guys live in FL or in France ?!?
You forgot to mention the funicular that takes you up to Montmartre – is it still in service?
I've been to Paris several times, so it is a bit different for me in that there’s a lot of “Been there, done that.”
But I'd say trying to see as much as you can isn’t going to give you as nice a trip as being more relaxed and leaving time to just BE. Spend time to just sit in a cafe, drink a coffee or tea or hot chocolate, and watch the world walk by. THAT'S the French life.
Enjoy the beauty for beauty's sake that is Paris. Stop and smell the proverbial roses.
If you're rushing around, seeing sites and checking off boxes, you won’t enjoy much of it.
Plan on coming back, and/or spending more time there.
Last time there was in December, 2022, shortly before Christmas. Besides the fact we got COVID which kinda cut the schedule short (I was laid out after day 3, and my wife went a few places without me), we didn’t really have much planned.
We went up the Eiffel Tower, doing a “tour” because we neglected to get tickets early enough and there were sold out, so an expensive tour was the only way. The tour was really from across at the Trocadero and the guide gave us some interesting facts, before walking us inside, handing us our tickets, and showing us where the line for the elevator was.
We'd been there before – 25 years ago, we got engaged ON the Eiffel Tower – but we'd never gone all the way to the top.
We did a Seine dinner cruise, which was quite nice apart from me having to try to remotely reset a client's password from my cell phone right in the middle of dinner.
My wife went to Shakespeare and Company by herself because I was sick by that point.
But mostly, we just did kinda normal STUFF. Had to go to FNAC at Les Halles (which is like every other Westfield mall in the world and entirely unimpressive) and then to a nearby battery place to try to buy a replacement laptop charger because mine didn’t get packed.
We went to a number of the department stores, looking for Christmas gifts for family in Germany (which we went to after Paris). Went to a Christmas Market at the Tuileries accidentally and had a blast (and froze to death). Had baguettes and croissants and sandwiches from an Eric Kayser across from our hotel. Went to a pharmacy to get COVID tests, and some other stuff my wife needed.
We ate at just some local places where besides the fact that the waiters all spoke English, no one else in the place was speaking English (except lunch that one day where the people at the table next to us were from the US).
Cheating a bit, though, because I do speak French, though I wouldn’t say FLUENTLY.
We usually fly from LA (where we live) in the afternoon/evening, sleep a bit on the plane, and then get there through next late morning or early afternoon. Which makes things easier because while you've probably not slept WELL and certainly not a full 8 hours, you HAVE had your nighttime sleep, and then arrive in daytime. Yes, tired, but not really seriously jet lagged.
And I'm weird in that I pretty much NEVER actually get jet lag. Tired, yeah. But my internal clock is generally messed up, anyway, so the time zone change doesn’t really affect me and I'm on the new time pretty much right away.
Bonjour! We were recently in Paris for a week and enjoyed searching for you both! Where are Antoine and Colleen? Thanks for your great videos!
A great itinerary, thank you!!
Sunday morning Frenchies! And this might be one of your best yet! Love the book shop in Galleries Vivienne. Purchased a wonderful book there back in 2017.
Whew! You've covered a lot of territory in 4 days! Great video as always.
Thanks!
Must sense I needed this video leaving tomorrow for there!
10 hour flight sounds wonderful. Takes me 24 hours to get to somewhere like Paris. I wonder if I am the only one that feels overwhelmed by the plan. I will be traveling with my parents and my father is incredibly lazy so I don’t think this plan will work for us.
When you are shopping for bread and pastries the magic word is " boulangerie " which literally means " shop that sells boules ". Boules are the round loaves of bread sold all over Paris. Another similar type of business is the patisserie which is a cake shop that doesn't sell bread. Be careful – some of the patisseries are very expensive.
Great videos – although we are no strangers for France (franco-Americans from NY/CA, but now living in Zurich, CH and also have estates in SW Dordogne, France), I am a total stranger for Paris! My daughter has a 2-week digital art Summer Camp between July 6 – 18, so I have no idea what to do (may be accompanied by my other 2 adult daughters?) next to 11eme Arrondissement / 12min. to Place des Vosges… No idea what to do for JULY 14 as well?? I def. need some help as everything is booked already, haha, or just visit my relatives/family friends whatever…cozying in our 2-week apartment?
We arrive in Paris 4 weeks today x
I spent three weeks in Paris back in the 90's and still didn't see everything on my list! Admittedly I also covered the Île-de-France too.
Love your YouTube channel. Big fan of the French cinema. Is there a movie going culture in Paris? Going to dinner and a movie. Popcorn, M&M's? Are there studios? Is the film industry in one area? What about the famous backdrops and locations.
I would mention that the first time I visited Versailles I was disappointed the fountains weren’t running. They only run at certain times due to water supply but if you can fit it in Les Grandes Eaux are worth the effort. Times are on the chateau’s website.
I clicked the link for the Meet and Greet but it's for departures, not arrivals.
Merci mille fois!
Very good video with helpful and new info (incl. download of itinerary). You are doing a great job!
Now you can even visit Notre Dame again (and maybe "squeeze" in a lunch or dinner at one of the bouillon restaurants/bistros)
Thank you !
Hope Colleen feels better soon.
Glad
Very useful and I'm proud
Love this…thanks guys…really would like to know where the cool Drum & Bass clubs are in Paris too 🤩🤩🤩I saw Glazart & Rex club but I'm unsure as to the safety of those areas
Nice itinerary. But I'd skip Versailles in favor of Ile de la Cite and the Latin Quarter.
This is the closest I'll ever be to Paris, and what a trip! Thank you! ❤ WV 🇺🇸
