  1. My mother was hospitalized, recovering (thankfully) from a stroke, and I drove up to reassure my dad, who was, understandably, beside himself with worry. I made a souffle for us after church, and he said he'd never had one, so he was excited to try it. He loved it, and between the two of us, we polished off the entire thing. While I was doing the dishes, I overheard him on the phone with my uncle, bragging about his fancy lunch. It's one of my favourite and most comforting memories, now that he's gone, and I owe Julia big time.

  2. I got the notification for this video and the thumbnail said "Gallic Pot Roast" instead of Cheese Souffle. Anyway, keep up with more Julia 😊

  3. I loved the souffles I made from Julia's recipes as well as Amy Vanderbilt's from HER own cookbook. No one else wanted to eat them, thinking them "too high-toned" for simple farm folk. But they were wonderful.

  4. Never knew cheese souffle was a garlic pot roast haha😅

I got all excited and noticed it was not at all what I wanted to watch haha

  5. I made this the first time I ever saw this episode 20 years ago. I still have the vintage soufflé pan and the kitchen table with the ring I burnt into the top. This recipe was a keeper.

  6. Damon Wayans was impresonating her on an episode of My Wife & Kids Return of the wall episode original air date March 4th 2002 💯🔥😂
