Brunello di Montalcino is the best with its sophisticated and delicate taste. Adore it.
Glad to see so much Piedmont in this video!
No! No! No!
Wine with pizza?
A mortal sin on par with pineapple on pizza!
No italian in his right mind will ever drink these wines with pizza
Moscato D'Asti …. should be on the list 😢😢
Every? No. Italy has more then 400 D.O.P. wines and countles that are not D.O.P.
Anyway good video, just that every is annoying.
Its really interesting learning about the different wines
Good work. You don't mention sardinian wines, and you're right because Sardinia is not Italy.
Congratulations on the Italian pronunciation. Odd spelling of "Piedmond" and "Ebruzzo" in the graphics. Thanks for the reminder of my many years in Italy. I agree with most of your comments although a top ten can rarely keep everyone happy. Nero d'Avola could have had a place as could Gattinara. Now I have to put up with Bordeaux wines.
Chianti – means that was hold in oak barrels to roast before bottling!
Couldn’t stand her voice.
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo?? You serious?? 😏
I am happy you mentioned Lambrusco, my homeland wine and actually the picture you showed is Levizzano Rangone, where I lived.
Only thing, Lambrusco Amabile (sweet) is not common at all nor very appreciated except for exports but in its own region is not used and it’s what gave this wine a bad reputation.
The bottle you showed is the worst Lambrusco ever.
Not every, definitely.
Me :
Meat valpollicella ripasso
Fish pinot grigio from trentino
The Insoglio in the photo really has nothing to do with brunello di Montacino. The Tenuta di biserno is located in the Maremma near Bolgheri on the coast and is made from Bordeaux grape varieties and not from Sangiovese Grosso grapes.
AI generated nonsense..
A wonderful overview, it is difficult to limit Italy to 12 types. Hitting the high points ws the idea. Hopefully part 2 and 3 will be coming. Maybe a little more focus on Chianti Classico and the subregions of Gran Selezione.
Ma va a caca ….2 morsi e paghi di piu ……truffano i turisti😂😂😂😂
What a horridly annoying voice. I couldn't watch, the stupid vocal fry drove me away.
very nice video. Well done. there are so many excellent wines in italy that require honorable mention. Thus a part 2 or part 3 of this video might be required.
As others here below already mentioned, The Ve3neto and friuli regions have v ery excellent wines. Friulano (formerly Tocai) merlot, cabernet franc refosco del peduncolo rosso, ribola chardonnay just to mentioned a few
My moto; Use less internet and drink nor cabernet (with moderation) viva
Well, obviously they're not "every" italian wine.
Sadly you didn't mention some of my favourites from Sicily and Apulia (Nero d''Avola and Negramaro).
Primotivo is not the same as Zinfandel. They are like cousins in their DNA.
Don't quit your day job!!!
I am Italian: born, raised and aged there.
I have found this video concise and comprehensive and most of the comments here below out of place.
Are you real person or AI? No offense intended, just that it's such a perfect voice.
As Trader Joe’s Sommelier (retired) i enjoy your takes🍷
Thank you for your presentation! Helped a lot!
Thank you for a very informative video. You have given me a fresh field of wine options to try. I have discovered that I can enjoy Italian red wines as they have in my opinion, less additives to mature, ferment or preserve the wine. This is all well and good for some but not for me as these additives don't agree with my digestive system.
Italians don't drink wine with pizza, just tourists
EVERY? 😅 Italy is not just a wine producer, wine is part of it's culture since thousands of years (it's not even a drink. it's… wine. bread and wine is the minimal food you can ask for) , hence there are no Italians knowing each and every wine or grape type in the country… there are thousands, really. Example, I love also Lacrima di Morro d'Alba from Lacrima grape, is it listed? 😉
Is this an AI voice? I can't tell.
May I suggest you cut the music in the background. It is too loud and cannot hear you clearly.
Check the definition of 'Every'…this is not it!
You left out the "l" in Montalcino in the upper left corner.
You also left out the "t" in Piedmont, the Anglicized spelling of Piemonte. Time for someone to go back to school. I think I'll skip the rest of this video.
Negroamaro, please.
Nothing on Sicilian wines? Nero d'Avola? Frappato?
This was great – thanks for the vid. Have watched a few vids trying to grasp the basics, but appreciate this is challenging, given the vastness and complexities of the wine business, so feel you've done an excellent job it keeping this very high level and not too detailed.
thank you so much
Great content, but that voice! Pick one affection and stick with it please, the switching! it’s very distracting.
Why should I want a wine that tastes of shoe leather, early tar, smokiness, rust, tobacco and other things?
When discussing any country’s wines, please pronounce it correctly, in this case in Italian. It’s a small effort and it goes a long way.
