Ingredients:
-500ml whole milk (full-fat for creaminess)
-120ml Heavy cream (optional, for extra richness)
-150 grams -high-quality dark chocolate (60–70% cocoa)
-2 tablespoons sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-Pinch of sea salt

For Garnish:
-Whipped cream (optional)
-Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder

Instructions:
-Heat the milk and heavy cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Warm them up, but do not let them boil. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.
-Lower the heat to low. Slowly whisk in the chopped dark chocolate. Stir continuously until the chocolate melts completely and the mixture is smooth and velvety.
-Add the sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. The salt enhances the chocolate flavour. Stir well.
-Let the mixture simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes while whisking constantly. This will make the hot chocolate slightly thicker and creamier.

-Top with whipped cream and and add chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for a nice touch.
