  1. So crazy you ended up at Fritai, I also did on my trip there as we wanted to try something we never had before! Amazing food and service, highly recommend!

  2. GIRL IF YOU DONT GO TO COMPERE LAPIN I WILL SCREAM!!!! Also Loretta’s for beignets and get some pho too while you’re there, Vietnamese food in NOLA is fabbbb

  3. I went to that museum of death not knowing anything about it as I was pregnant and it was probably the worst thing to do 😂

  4. I really enjoyed the Museum of Death but I also enjoyed the National Museum of Funeral History in Houston, so I think it's just that I like that sort of thing. I can understand how it wouldn't be for everyone.

  5. Haha I love the museum of death! I try to fo there every time I'm in the city ,personally I can't recomand it enough

  6. You must go to the aquarium… Amazing!

Go Surrey's Cafe for shrimp and grits.. and breakfast.

Go to District Donuts and Sliders for the hot honey chen sandwich

Go to Brigsten's for an amazing dinner.

Don't sleep on the Beignets across the street from Canal Place Mall on Canal Street. The coffee sucks but the beignets are airy and light.

  7. I don’t know if you see this, but Loretta’s authentic praline in the French market has the best beignets in New Orleans hands-down. You have to try it. The beets are stuffed with praline filling.

  8. I’ve had reoccurring nightmares abt that museum since i went over a year ago 😭

  9. I live near new orleans. Im there almost everyday. All i can say is that its dirty, trashy, and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. People are wasting their time coming here for a vacation. Horrible place

  10. I went to Cafe du Monde in 2014 and it was incredible and I went back in 2022 and it was bad. Like dense and not fluffy at all 😢 I went back a second time and it was better but still not the same. Weirdly, the beignets I had in Downtown Disney a few months later were WAY better and I’m pretty sure they use the Cafe du Monde mix for them. Idk what happened. Anyway, I’m wondering if they tasted good when you went??

  11. As a bartender of New Orleans, if anyone ever comes here, look up Tujague's for fine dining. Look up the Bourbon Bar at Hotel Pontchartrain for an amazing jazz band, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop for day drinking, and Emporium on St Claude for a cool dive with tons of standup arcade and pinball machines you can play for free if you're drinking. You're welcome. You can have way more fun in this city if you ignore the tourist crap.

  12. Love that you tried Haitian food!! You need to compare it to Haitian restaurants in New York

  13. Museum of Death in Hollywood has more content and is larger — the New Orleans location has Dr Kevorkian’s death machine, though. You kind of have to be interested in the morbid to enjoy it (which I did!)

Met the owner of the Nola location — he was a personable and sincere guy. A veteran with the upmost respect for the deceased.

  14. I walked so much in New Orleans. So many things are close together!

We had po boys, pralines, and a bloody mary for breakfast on day two! The hangover was real! 🤣🍹
