I was not able to visit Ducru on my trip to Bordeaux but it’s on my list for my next visit. La Croix is my favorite second label, never disappoints.

Hey John ! excellent video, I enjoyed it a lot. I have 8 bottles from 12 I bought originally of the Cos De Estournel 05. This vintage seems to be maturing at a snail speed way ! 05 is still closed and tanic and seems it can still take 10 or more years of cellartime…who knows!. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Thank you for another insightful video. I had the pleasure of visiting both Cos D’Estournel and Montrose in 2023 and learnt so much more about the wines, the vineyards, and the wine making by seeing it all first hand. I thouroughly recommend visiting these estates to anyone with a keen interest in Bordeaux, however it is important to contact them well in advance to get an appointment.
How does Branaire Ducru fit in? I always thought it was part of Ducru Beauvailou….
