Many people in Charente have British ancestors. They just need to pass a ancestry DNA test. I am from Angoulême born to a full French family. I did a DNA test on 23andme and found i am 4,2% British. This has been later confirmed by a genealogist. Other French relatives of mine have % of British DNA. My Tip: if you want to turn an anti british person into a pro british person, offer this person an ancestry DNA test.
