I unmoulded a new batch of handmade coasters today. These repurpose genuine French wine corks, are layered with gold flakes and encased in crystal clear epoxy resin. The black-pearl resin backdrop elevates the floating gold and cork, creating an eye-catching yet classy statement piece.
The result aims to elevate a tabletop while protecting it using upcycled components, diverted from waste streams. I love witnessing raw discarded objects transformed through basic methods into functional focal points.
