    What is so sad is that, the people who drink regularly and don’t think they have a problem are the unlucky ones. The poison is so embedded, so normalised that the mainstay of society views people who choose to not drink as a bit weird. Yes, drunkenness is very harmful both spiritually and for your physical health! The Bible consistently warns against the dangers of drunkenness and its negative consequences.This is because your mind is easier to manipulate and influence when it is weakened by drugs or alcohol. alcohol makes you more susceptible to temptation and demonic influences. When people are drunk, they can sin by engaging in behaviors they wouldn't normally do when sober such as: engaging in reckless or dangerous activities, saying hurtful things to others, Increased aggression, conflict, accidents, falls, engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior, stealing, making bad decisions, fighting, or neglecting their responsibilities, Etc. all due to the impaired judgment and lack of self-control caused by intoxication. and this is dishonoring to God and can cause separation from God. Scripture teaches, "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear." (Isaiah 59:1-2). Alcohol is also a health risk that can affect people of all ages. Regardless of the amount, It can lead to Major organ damage including the brain. Liver disease, Heart disease, High blood pressure, Stroke, Weakened immune system, mental health, Etc. Alcohol can even lead to death. There's no safe drinking level. Even moderate drinking increases health risks compared to not drinking at all. Neglecting one's body, Paul says, is a sin of defiling what is holy, and God will punish for it. We are also commanded to not allow our bodies to be “mastered” by anything. But we are to honor God with our bodies. It is drunkenness and addiction to alcohol or anything else that a Christian must absolutely refrain from
    Ephesians 5:15-21
    "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."
