This has always been a dream of Gwendolyn Rogers to bringing one of her restaurant and bakery experiences to Disney.
The Cake Bake Shop is one of the newest dining experiences to have open at Disney. With a menu that offers both savory and dessert menus. It’s a beautiful restaurant, but I believe it’s in a poor location & will not last with those prices. Maybe in a different location that was easier to get to. Give me Gideons anytime.
Great video. Not our style restaurant but loved the review. There are too many other great restaurants with better prices. But I appreciate that this definitely a restaurant some will love and go to.
My issue is they overspent on the razzle dazzle of the takeout containers, the crystals, the decor, the edible glitter on everything. They’re passing those expenses onto the diners and trying to pass mediocre food off as gourmet. There is no world where half a sandwich and a side salad costs that much. I’ve watched plenty of reviews now from opening day to present day, and it seems the food quality is inconsistent, they’re running out of menu items before they even open, and the baking continues to be served frozen. I was SO excited about this place, but now i’m a firm no on going.
Good evening, Michell, Todd, Kevin and Heidi❤❤ mm that Fall Sangria would be my drink of choice and The French a onion soup my dinner choice. We just had Walmart cake for my moms birthday this afternoon and it was so good! The place looks beautiful as does the cakes 🍰

Of course your video is excellent (as always). I love watching you try new things. But I just cannot justify it. I have an excellent bakery down the street and their cakes and things are delicious at a fraction of the price. I can get an entire cake (very similar in looks and probably better in taste) for the price of one slice there. I will pass on this place. I miss the ESPN bar. Lol

It was very difficult to watch this video. There was so much background noise I missed a lot of what was said. But I love your videos
We ate there last Sunday. It was noisy in the "atrium" area. Outside the main dining room. It was ok. I did like the chicken velvet soup. My mom is in an ECV and they didn't know what to do with her. It was very awkward, she was ready to leave. Worst macaron's I've ever had. Too sugary. We will try high tea.

Sorry Todd and Michelle, I would rather go to Gideon’s for a slice of cake, or a cookie. And as for your sandwich, Todd, it should’ve been warm throughout, not cold, or lukewarm.
Michelle, I wholeheartedly agree with you chicken salad should have celery, sometimes onions, or grapes, tarragon( mine does), in it. Something to give it zing!
And then , they charge such exuberant prices for an inferior products! At least have the food hot when giving it to you, especially when charging those prices!

That looks like it was previously frozen and not fully thawed. At $24/slice that is unacceptable.

I am staying at boardwalk I passed by this place so far multiple times I won’t even give them my time! I have money and I like food and cakes but I refuse to spend stupid money on a slice of cake I even thought about getting just a slice and trying it in the hotel but I said absolutely not! Overpriced food no thanks.

$26 dollars for a small salad and half chicken salad sandwich is laughable. I hope people don’t indulge these prices or we will just get more restaurants doing this.
Also, Steakhouse 71 $32 for a steak with a side so please don’t say this is comparable to other Disney restaurants

The raspberry macaron from Jolly Holiday at Disneyland is top tier! So sweet and tart and yummy!
