Apparently (im french nw) waiters/waitresses speak english bc some tourists can talk french but don’t understand it when they listen to it so they prefer to speak english w them
une fois j'étais dans un hotel à paris pour la première fois, il y avait un employé qui me voyait perdue, sauf qu'il parlait anglais et n'avait pas l'air de comprendre qq chose quand je parlais français
