A brand new day!! Even though the day did not turn out according to plan, it became a wonderful introduction to Strasbourg! I tried to capture the brightness and cheer of the streets, lanes, shops, and buildings through the camera, but it is almost impossible. I have never visited a city or town like this; I have nothing to compare it to. The atmosphere and environment are so electrifying, and it envelops you in complete holiday spirit! I can only compare the feeling to the first time I visited Disneyland as a kid.
On this day, we had A different plan altogether. We had pre-booked train tickets to Colmar a month in advance, to spend the day there, however, unbeknownst to me, there have been ongoing jobs strikes all over France which affected commute and transportation.  Although, when we had booked the train tickets, there were no notices informing the public that there may be cancellations or delays. I guess, on the bright side of things, the round-trip tickets only cost $20 each. 
There are many visitors to Strasbourg, both independent travelers and tour groups, however, it does not feel like an amusement park atmosphere.
