054 We are so excited to be headed back to our little stonehouse. It is really an interesting feeling when you arrive in a foreign country (France) and it all starts to feel familiar. The roads, countryside, stores, and people. Although we are visitors to this country, it’s starting to feel like home.

Thanks again for watching,

Michael and April

Description of Us:
We are a couple of American Francophiles who have come to truly appreciate so many things about French culture. We love the food, wine, art, and history of France, but especially the people we have met along the way. Join us as we make our dream of living in France a reality. Follow us as we explore the French living and a new life there with our beloved dog, Bernice. We enjoy learning about stone house renovation, wine, cooking, brocante shopping, and the French community we are now a part of.

  1. Such a kind neighbour – but I daresay you must have made a good impression to receive such thoughtfulness from others 😌

  2. Ahhh… Welcome back to your charming French home away from home. Happy Holidays! 🥳🍾🥂 What a wonderful neighbor you have to be sooo thoughtful!!!

  3. Hello, nice to see you back. The weather is going to be cold for a few days, so this fire is great. And the cobwebs mean that the spiders are doing a great job keeping the house safe from bugs.😊

  4. Hi, you are very courageous to be ready to spend the winter months in this isolated part of France ! If I were you I'd spend the winter months in sunny and mild Sacamento and the summer months in your french house.

  6. Welcome back! It's such a long journey – I'd be delirious too!
Remy sounds wonderful, how delightful to come home to a fire and decorations 😊
    Rest, recouperate, and enjoy 😉

  7. What a lovely homecoming–you're in the department next to me–I am in Creuse in Clugnat. I thought the village looked similar–smack dab in the middle of France is such a beautiful place♥

  8. Hi April. Very much enjoyed your new video. What an epic voyage. But once you arrived at your home and found the fireplace lit and some holiday decorations I could feel your relief and joy. Im looking forward to seeing your next video. Happy new year…Joseph and Gigi in Cape May.

  9. We purchased a moulin for a vacation/ retirement home in the southwest almost 3 years ago. We made a few trips over the first year before realizing that we would rather live in france. Almost our 2nd year full time, no regrets. It's just so much better. I know it's not perfect, but where is? Quality of life is so much better, I hate going back to the US. This year we even stayed for Christmas. Life is good.
