Love this show love French wine
I'm beginning to think that the reason why I'm underexposed to Bordeaux is just because there's little competitive stock to be found at a reasonable price where I live. With Burgundy I don't get that problem because I pay the money anyway 😂
I think you need a better microphone. The sound is a bit dull in this vid tbh. Check the rode nt-usb mini.
First, let me say, I am sooooo glad I found this channel.
Second, I love that very French pop when you pull the cork. Very classy.
🍟😃
TY for unwrapping the Trader Joe's French conundrum. I'll have to try that Chateau Pirouette with a Double Double Animal Style with fries. At 8 bucks, if it is not good it gets poured in Beef Burgundy…..errr make that, Beef Bordeaux. A dish in search of a recipe.
Hey Bob I bought that Pauillac before I knew anything about that region and before I found your channel. It was ok and then I discovered the cost of wines in that region!! Thanks for selecting that one and providing info. Can you let us know how you can tell which ones can be kept long term.
Love the right bank and I’ll be checking my TJ for the last two
Happy Holidays! Love this style of presentation from $ to $$. I also love the fact that I shop at TJ at least once a week and enjoy looking at their wine selection. I know which bottle I will purchase to add to our NYE bar tray on Tuesday – Grand Pontet! 🙂
Happy holidays, Bob! I think this kind of videos has the most value for a general audience. I found quite a few great value wines at TJ due to your recommendations. Cheers! P.S. I just got a vintage Cava from Costco (Gelida 2018). I've never seen a vintage Cava before. Did you try this one by any chance?
Enjoy your video’s but Bordeaux with pizza?
Happy holidays Bob. Some very nice “Wednesday” night Bordeaux. Thank you for sharing. I’ve some leftover ‘13 Brunello from Christmas dinner last night to finish 😊. Cheers.
Now that’s a valuable review for the masses. I loved your recording levels.
Love the Bordeaux vids! I drank a bottle of 2009 Lanson tonight, which went down a treat.
Merry Christmas, Bob – keep up the great work in 2025!
Just reloaded on 2020 cap de faugeres….amazing, modern bordeaux with good weight….$15 in chicago. My weekday wine
Petit Verdot is for acid. Cabernet Sauvignon is the least acidic species of vinifera.
🙂
The Grand Faurie ages well . TJ's had the 2014 and 2016 vintages a few years ago both drank well
