A Holiday twist on the classic French 75.

Add the following to an iced shaker:
• 1 oz gin
• 3/4 oz cranberry syrup (recipe below)
• 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

Shake it up.
Pour in a champagne glass, top with sparkling wine & garnish with cranberries.
Pinky out & cheers!

Cranberry Cocktail Sauce:
Add 2 parts cranberries to a sauce pot with 1 part water, 1 part sugar, (2) 2 inch pieces of orange peel and a pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to a simmer for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cranberries will start to pop and break open.
Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes. Then strain syrup into bowl, pressing down lightly onto cranberry mixture to get juices out. Pour 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice through strainer into syrup.
Pour into a beverage bottle for storage.

  1. If it gets a little cooler outside and you need a warm drink then:
    1/2 ounce of honey
    1 ounce of a good bourbon
    5 ounces of good coffee
    Top with whip cream
