sorry, but russian kitchen is disgusting. The soviet era killed all the historically valuable skills and recipes they had, with the idea that everybody they should eat similar. So the sovjets designed one cooking book for all of them and everbody had to serve food based of it. One reason, why russians lost their kitchen and their individual good taste…
it's based on a poulet à la forestière recipe, but simplified. we put smoked bacon and a dash of white wine but never red onions, shallots better. parsley and chives. looks like you're fench (or in france), why do you call that stroganoff??!

This is a staple in Sweden but it’s very different!
