Is that service will be also served by SNCF's Avelias (that's international brand of Alstom's HSTs, including TGVs, Pendolinos, etc) or DB's Siemens Velaros?

BRILLIANT – this train means that there will be even more empty seats on the Inter-Europe airlines. Pity though, that on this inaugural journey the Dining Car was not functioning due to technical issues, as for business-class travellers the on-board catering is fundamental. Thanks for posting this most interesting video and I wish SNCF & DB every success with the new service. Much better than a Business Class flight!

6 hours of travel time between Strasbourg and Berlin ? 1100 km – 396 km (Paris Strasbourg) = 700 km –> 117 km/h of speed average between Strasbourg and Berlin. High speed train really ?

I wish they(along with Austria's OBB) will reinstate the Paris-Vienna daylight service – just like the old EC Mozart
I'm not a big fan of daytime high speed routes being so long. 8h is ideal to make it a night train, but too long to spend on a seat, and 09h-17h means your entire day is gone.
I hate it because my country (Spain) eliminated all the night services, and now the only alternatives available to cross the entire country are either wasting an entire day sitting, or flying.

Very nice video. I hope that DB and SNCF will revive the Nord-Express at some point. More routes like this are needed so that the aeroplane is not the only option. It also shows how important it is to expand the infrastructure in Germany.

Super interesting! Does anyone know if the tariff connection point called Kehl (Gr), i.e. Kehl Grenze or Kehl border appears on international tickets for TGV Paris – Berlin? I believe that these are trains at market prices and not trains for which the legendary international kilometric TCV tariff can be applied. For example, between Italy and France, Modane (Fr) no longer exists and from next Sunday the international tariff of the Tende line will disappear. There are only a few days left to buy the legendary Ci 204 Spec ticket on board FS trains with the northern and southern border points and the stations in French territory indicated
