My Brand New Recipe Book:

Oreo Stuffed French Toast Sticks

Macros for each French Toast Stick:
101.97 Cals, 12.33g Carbs, 1.33g Fat, 10.17g Protein

Ingredients (makes 6 French toast sticks):
12 Slices of Bread of your choice (used Sara Lee 45 Calorie Bread)
50g Whey/Casein Blend Vanilla Protein Powder
25g Cookies & Cream Protein Cookie Butter (can sub with Black Cocoa Powder)
8g Powdered Sugar (you can use a low cal version to lower the macros)
12g White Chocolate Sugar Free/Fat Free White Chocolate Pudding Mix
200g Egg Whites
4g Ground Cinnamon

Directions:
1.) Add your protein powder, cookie butter powder, pudding mix and powdered sugar into a bowl. Mix to avoid clumping. Now slowly add cold water and mix and repeat until you have a thick icing like consistency. Now add your greek yogurt and mix. This should be like a thick but not too thick icing like consistency. Add to freezer for about 10 minutes to thicken up.
2.) Take 12 slices of bread and roll as flat as you can with a rolling pin.
3.) Once filling has been in the freezer for about 10 minutes and has thicken up take one slice of your bread and spread 1/12th of your filling onto the bread leaving about half an inch not covered in frosting. Now tightly roll your bread starting from the bottom to the top that doesn’t have the frosting on it until its all rolled up. Repeat this process with all 6 sticks and add them to the freezer for about 45-60 minutes. This is really important for when they are added to the pan so that the frosting doesn’t melt out.
4.) Once the sticks have been in the freezer for about 20 minutes add your 200 g of egg whites, 4g cinnamon to a bowl big enough to dip the whole stick in.
5.) Preheat your stove top pan on a 5 out of 10 heat. Spray your stove top pan once preheated with non stick cooking spray. Now start to add your French toast sticks into the egg white mixture bowl and add to your stove top pan.
6.) Add them to the pan and cook them on each side for about 90 seconds each (4 sides) Once all sides are golden take them off, add your low cal maple syrup to a small bowl and enjoy these delicious french toast sticks!
