Today, we’re making a delicious French bistro classic: Croque Monsieur & Madame. We’re using homemade toasted bread slices, of course. We’re also using cheesy Mornay sauce, buttery Emmental cheese, and Dijon mustard. This French cheese sandwich is then baked for a few minutes for all the flavors to come together.
The perfect Parisian meal!

Creamy Mornay sauce (Bechamel with cheese)
∙ ¾ cup butter
∙ ½ flour
∙ Pich of salt
∙ 2 cups warm milk
∙ ½ teaspoon white pepper
∙ 100grams Parmesan cheese

Homemade bread (Potbrood)

Sandwich
∙ Dijon mustard
∙ Smoked Ham
∙ Chicken slices
∙ Emmental cheese
∙ Brie cheese
∙ Dried thyme
∙ Dried oregano
∙ Fried egg for the Croque Madame.

    I like similar but just on a single slice of bread, and sometimes cover the egg with cheese sauce.
