It’s time to wine down for this Tasting Thursday. This week, we try a red wine blend with some toffee.
This red table wine from Old North State Winery in Mount Airy, NC is an easy drinker — lingering on the palate just enough to be memorable, but not so much that it overpowers your meal.
We paired it with the toffee with dark chocolate and almonds from French Broad Chocolate in Asheville, NC. The crunchy, buttery toffee is satisfying and delicious, and the dark chocolate makes this the perfect pairing for our red wine.
