Last year i waited in line for more than an hour there cause my friend asked me to, the biggest ripoff in paris, also it’s for people like who upon entering makes videos and photos that i had to wait so long, bro fucking enter take what you wont and leave
It's just stupidity paying that amount on a pastry. It's the same of spending 1300 dollars on a blank balenciaga t-shirt. It's not smart, neither cult or gourmet. It's just being stupid while trying to feel exclusive or rich.
What a lot of people don't understand is that he is a high profile pastry chef living in Paris. To make pastries look like that you need to be really good at it. Yes they may be expensive but it is for good reason. What he does takes skill, patience and creativity. The pricing would be comparable to that of clothing; you don't NEED to pay $2000 on a tee from Gucci but people still do to show off that they have some money to waste on average quality clothing. Your paying for the logo on the tee, not the quality of it. The same applies here. He is obviously good at what he does to have this much demand for his products and to be able to sell them at the price

They have a branch in London (Hotel the Berkeley) that I have been to. The pastries are absolutely fantastic and i didn’t need to wait at all. If you happen to be in London I would recommend you to go check it out. 😊
