1998 Chateau Sociando Mallet Haut Medoc. A Bordeaux from my cellar, aged over twenty years. Made fully primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

I’m reminded of the ‘82 vintage Lannesac displaying New World ripeness with French balance. Good on you for sharing what it takes to get the best out of your cellar collection, consistent even temperature, lack of vibrations, darkness with limited light exposure!
Looks like one hell of a bottle! It's amazing how good Bordeaux can stay youthful for so long.
Cool stuff. I open their 2003 cuvée Jean Gautreau tonight. Nice, but a little tired. Don’t think it’d last much longer.
