  1. Suggest you upgrade your mic….it looks like a furry, unsanitary dead mouse. Perhaps something you can pin on yourself and not have to hold awkwardly? Otherwise, deepest thanks for all of your wonderful videos and insight!❤❤❤

  2. I keep hearing about croque monsieur. Look, I had one in Paris. It's grilled cheese with ham. If this is what you're eating in Paris, you're missing out.

  3. So, steak frites is the fish and chips of Paris? Does your husband speak French? It'd be great for you to have a video only speaking it together.

  4. girl, this cheese-filled supermarket is the one I see in my dreams haha – may I ask which chain or local store it was where you filmed that part? 😀 Love the video. Instant subscribe!

  5. oh Rocamadour is smelly but amazing cheese! Also Rocamadour is a beautiful place but my favourite is still Carcassone and their goose liver products

  6. I was very surprised, but I think I saw a Canadian cheese in there. Quebec makes a lot of nice craft cheeses, but I am surprised France would want to import pasteurized cheese. I remember having a conversation with a French man who said pasteurization ruined the flavour. I was surprised the sandwich you bought had only meat and butter without any toppings like veggies. The best fries I've had in my life were in France.

  7. That steak tartare entree looks so delicious! Lucile do you ever eat Korean food? There is a Korean dish called yukhoe (seasoned raw meat) that is made with Korean pear, sesame oil, and some seasoning. I would love to see a video of you exploring Asian food in Paris including Korean food.

  8. Im so looking forward to paris for October this year your vidio was a great help thank you must try the crepes im flying from dublin Ireland to charles de gauill paris

  9. Raclette is Swiss, don't eat it in France. Also, the way you sliced the raclette was quite horrific.

  10. Whenever I'm in Paris, Monoprix 3:40 is usually my first choice to pick up some really nice, fresh food with reasonable price. And believe it or not for a native New Yorker, Monoprix check out cashiers are friendly. When I'm in a hurry, cashiers are also quit fast (as in purchase process). My friend loves the huge and extremely affordable wine list and price when compared to Costco prices. When you have a chance, please do a Paris popular supermarket comparisons. Like Monoprix vs Franprix vs Carrefour etc. My personal favorite neighborhood "tiny" supermarket is La Récolte Beaubourg at 43 Rue Beaubourg. Because the staffs are super nice and I love their ultra sweet grapes.

  11. J'adore votre anglais. I like the sign at 4:22. It's a pun about the name of an old film called, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly," except I think the words on the sign mean, "The Good, the butter, and the crooked."

  12. 1:25 Croque Monsieur, or in (British) English a cheese & ham toastie. It suddenly sounds far less exotic, doesn't it? Still very tasty though.

  13. 4:25 Jambon beurre. This might sound fancy (because everything French sounds fancy right?), but it simply means 'ham butter' (i.e. a ham butter sandwich).

That said, French bread is great, so a sandwich made with good French bread will taste MUCH better than any foreign alternative that uses far inferior bread.

Plus (stating the obvious), good quality butter and ham will make a big difference too. I mean, using a cheap spread won't be anywhere near as good as a good butter, and there will be a big difference between cheap ham and quality ham.

  14. Are you going to review the La Tour D’Argent?? You’re making me want to go. And to the BBT❤

  15. Tartar and so many dishes are same or very similar even in Czechia , Austria, Slovakia and Hungary as well.
