Steak and Chips with some Lettuce for £30…… I guess if people pay it and it is popular then the price will soon increase. For me the first thing I notice was the small plates so I guess it gives the customer the illusion of a lot of food (so not surprised your food was delivered in 2 servings). Chips looked like McCain Crispy French Fries that had been air fried (except McCains normally have less bruises (black bits) – I personally hate the green marks and the black marks. Steak itself looked fine but you should really learn how to hold a knife and how to cut meat (its not a pencil). Value £40 (with a drink)….. I would say you would have to be pretences to pay that for lunch every day for such a bland simple meal.
Is that meat beef?

The original restaurant was named Café de Paris with only Entrécôte w/french fries and CdP sauce?
In my experience French restaurants cooks steak decently, but never exceptional. However their sauces can be outstanding. BTW, that really looked closer to Medium Rare than Rare, lol. To not cook how you may like it, is disappointing.
Still seems pricey.
That steak looked absolutely beautiful and there were heaps of chips on the plate and the salad looked great. What is the secret sauce?
