Having fun on our wine journey which started in 2013. This journey started with red wines and the Pinot Noir grape varietal. In this past year, we have started delving into white and rose wines. The Fontanafredda Italian White wine comes from Piemonte, Italy. The Gavi di Gavi we are featuring today is a beautiful example of what Italy can do with the Cortese grape. At 12.5% alcohol this isn’t a heavy wine, however it is full of beautiful flavors and aromas.

Tasting notes: green apple & pear with lesser notes of honeysuckle, citrus and bitter apple. Sweetness is moderate to low though acidity balances this wine out perfectly. This is easily a 3.9-4.0/5 wine per Vivino ratings.

We bought this wine a local wine store for $27. It is one of the few Gavi wines we’ve had and would recommend this one to wine lovers.
