Ingredients:

400g fresh figs (cut into sixths)
4 large eggs
100g all-purpose flour
100g brown sugar
300ml milk
30g melted butter
A pinch of salt
10g brown sugar (for topping)
2 tbsp flaked almonds
Icing sugar (for dusting)

Optional (for caramelizing figs):
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
Recipe:

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, flour, 100g brown sugar, salt, and melted butter. Gradually add milk, whisking until smooth.
Pour the batter into the baking dish, and arrange most of the figs inside the batter.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until the batter is slightly set.
Add the remaining figs on top, sprinkle with 10g brown sugar and flaked almonds. Bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown and set.
Optional: Sauté the figs in olive oil and honey for 3-4 minutes before adding them to the batter for extra flavor.
Once baked, dust with icing sugar before serving.
Enjoy warm or cold!
