On day two of our French antiquing road trip, we explored a flea market in Orleans, hunting for unique antiques and vintage finds. The day started early as the flea market in this beautiful French town gets into full swing at the crack of dawn. We scored an amazing antique and vintage haul before heading to Emmaus to continue our search for treasures. Our antiquing journey didn’t stop there! We ventured up north to Chartres, where we visited brocantes and depot ventes, uncovering even more incredible finds. Join us as we roam the flea market, brocantes, and depot ventes, immersing ourselves in France’s rich antiquing culture. Whether you’re a flea market lover or brocante enthusiast, this video is full of inspiring moments from our antiquing adventure across France.

  2. Thank you so much for two videos in two days. I know it’s a lot of work. It looks like you two had so much fun in France and bought so many beautiful things. You both have such wonderful taste. Thanks so much for taking us along.

  3. Oh my goodness, Louisa, what fun! It's so worth getting up early. I love the lounge Mark was laying on. Mark's car is quite full. 😂 It sounds like you had a wonderful time. ❤

  4. I’ve seen old lids used as place card holders. Twine or ribbon is then wrapped around the finial, which secures the name, written on fancy paper. I suppose you could do something like that with the stoppers. I have some beautiful stoppers that I have collected and display them in a crystal bowl.

  5. The 2 armoires i have are worth 10000.00 together if bought in a nice furniture store. I got them 300.00 for both facebook marketplace scored. Still not enough room to store my clothing I collect clothes can change 3 times a day if I wish. All dressed up and no place to go too often. 30 yr collection I call myself on marketplace advertise MAMA’s FLEA MARKET/BAG LADY ALOT OF THINGS FOR SALE CRYSTAL FURNITURE CLOTHING JEWELLERY COLLECTIBLES YOU NAME IT I HAVE EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE KITCHEN SINK LOL

  6. Really enjoyed trip with you. We’re off to France next year and hopefully following in your footsteps. Ps bet you loved the indoor shower.

  7. I thoroughly enjoyed your trip. The apartment was ideal for your trip. I’d stick with that one next time. Loved your haul. Nothing nicer than strolling through an antique market on a lovely day. You obviously both enjoyed it. x

  8. My goodness, I would need a truck, and lots of money, as I saw so many things, through your lens, that I would have love to have bought, and taken back to England! Love the things that you bought. You must have been both shattered, after all the excitement, and walking around looking, and buying lovely things! Thanks for taking us with you. Blessings from Jilly & Madge, and a sunny West Devon morning today. xxx

  9. Louisa your delight at the small things in life is a joy. My hubby cannot resist a hat, he even stood in a M and S window display with the manikins wearing a bowler I was mortified but laughed for days. The French know how to display their wares don’t they to make it less exhausting than most flea markets in England. I’m so wanting you to find perfume bottles and the pediment for the shower room and love the cabinet for the upstairs bathroom, what a find even with the hard work ahead to restore it which probably gives you as much pleasure as it would me. Can’t wait for the next instalment and what a snazzy bag lady you are!

  10. You could always pull a trailer 👍🏻 I live in the US and popular here is Blue & White, Copper & hand made pottery. I also saw some flower frogs which are sought after here also 💕

  11. as a wife of an emmaus director and a volunteer i allways love to see people going to different emmaus shops. by the way, those tall armoires are hard to sell, people don't have the tall, spacious rooms they used to have before.

  12. Why don’t you tell us the price of things? It’s all very well highlighting items but I’m sure most of us would appreciate knowing how much they are!
