  1. I must have missed it if you already talked about it but here's my question… what's the large hood on the wall and what will you use it for???

  2. Gorgeous! I love color and this is beautiful!
I had an artist tell me that red/orange pigment is a "loose" pigment, in that it's structure is sort of lacy, while blue pigments are tighter and more opaque. It is why, all things the same, red/orange can take more coats to cover than blue, in general. Of course this will depend on the paint itself. 🧡🧡🧡🧡

  3. Definitely more trim for the wood paneling maybe even a square piece in the middle. Love the room amazing colour choice ❤❤❤❤❤❤

  4. It looks great. I’m a designer myself. I wasn’t sure about the color at first until you showed it on the wall with the inspiration. Thank you for taking the time to make videos for us. I love your personality and the diy videos are great!

  5. Pretty paint color. Cheap paint does not cover well. Better quality paint would save you time and cover better.

  6. Hi there, I’ve noticed on several occasions that when you are painting you use very short brush strokes after filling your brush with paint.

I’m not a professional painter but if longer strokes are used the paint is stretched out and you will probably avoid the blotchiness which is evident on the orange paint work that you’ve done on the walls so far,

It seems as though the short stroke Strategy you use is also used when applying paint with a roller.

Have you considered when using the roller on a wall attach a pole to the female part of the roller handle which will enable you to do the longest strokes I am talking about.

sorry if I sound too critical but that is just my two box worth which is intended to make your job easier and get a better result.

That being said I’m still going to give you a like.

  7. 1:08 am here when I was watching and you said it was 1 am, LOL. I'll have to watch the rest later. Laurent is so funny & cute! Luv ur videos. Nite Nite, Nite Owl from a hotel in Ploermel! Been on the road 6 weeks, searching for temporary housing 3-4 months and it's so hard in France. So frustrated.

  8. I was reluctant about the orange working but you’ve proven me wrong- LOVE it! Also love the new print from the antique shoppe!

  9. That pitcher at the antique store was beautiful I agree! I l9ved the pink Fuji mum pattern which I have never seen a pattern like that before. I love it.
At first I was dubious about that orange but after the last coat I am a fan. Very bold move from you I have to say but it paid off. Looks good. But you are a crazy woman on that skate board!! I was laughing with you!

  10. Laurent is funny.. Loved the I'm watching you eye close up… Nice to have someone caring about what you get up to!! Orange is a gorgeous colour! 🙂 Got me inspired to finish the wall I started two weeks ago!! cheers for that.

  11. I have to say when you said you were painting the room orange I was like " ick!" But…. I absolutely LOVE it!❤❤❤ you've made me rethink orange and appreciate the gorgeous color!!!!❤ thanks for sharing 😊

  12. Nice job. Not sure chandelier works. Recessed or track lighting go better with the beams. I have a similar chandelier (smaller than yours), that I restored, sitting in the closet of my house in Essone, near Dourdan. If you want it I will sell it to you for 400 Euro which is what I put into buying and restoring it, nothing more. I found all the missing parts I needed in the basement of BHV, one of my favorite practical spots in Paris. No doubt yours, as well. I am sure you will furnish the room beautifully. PS the wheelie thing in French is called le diable. Always makes me chuckle.

  13. I love your positive energy and your can-do attitude. You are very clever too, as you solve problems that I would consider daunting. You have accomplished so much in this house. You should be proud of what you've learned along the way. The orange you chose looks amazing!

  14. You should paint those two spots in between the beams where you have them white paint them orange because it cuts off your ceiling right there. It’ll look better if it was orange in between the beams like the rest of the walls

  15. Congrats on the change! I would add in the wood trim small "panels" on the cream paint. The doors don't look quite right to me, try all cream to start, maybe gold in the bevels, like your other doors.

  16. Love the dining room!!! 👏🏻😁👍🏻
And you on the “rolly skateboard thing” just made my day!!! 😂😂😂

  17. U need to find some pretty tile to go behind the stove that will match the color of the walls with maybe some green! A flower with green leaves or some Mexican tiles but u may want a different chandelier with Mexican tiles but like it is a flower the same color with leaves..😊

  18. Maybe a better quality of paint? That is a lot of work. Painting should not be that hard? I’m assuming you used a primer?

  19. Good job Cara! You should be proud of yourself…….can't wait to see the furnished room! Yes, go celebrate with your glass of wine, you dexerve it 😊🥳👏👏

  20. Congrats! 🍷. You had a vision and it turned out the way you planned…beautiful and fresh! The furniture and art you choose will be enhanced with the orange walls and dark wood floors! Perhaps navy blue and orange pattern can be used somewhere … maybe fabric on chairs.
Love your energy and excitement when you complete a job!❤️

  21. When I was in college I heard one peron talking about their elderly boyfriend (26 or 27) and how he had taken acid at midnight and then started painting is kitchen floor….I thought every thing sounded normal aside from the acid!!!

  22. I really don't know whether he's going to sell it or not, but I'd get Woody Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible before he decides. It has some good projects, others not so good, but it's something worth to go'ogle if you want some cool ideas.
