    1 Onion
    10g Butter
    4tbsp UMAMI SAUCE
    600ml Water
    2 slices Bread (Baguette)
    100g Melt cheese
    Toast the bread. Slice an onion.

    Heat 10g of butter in the Kimono Mom Donabe, saute the onion well.

    Add 4tbsp of Kimono Mom's UMAMI
    SAUCE and 600ml of water.

    Put the toasted bread on top of the soup.
    Sprinkle the cheese.

    Place the whole Donabe in the oven and bake at 250 degrees for 10 minutes to brown the cheese.

  2. French tips here : use old bread, like a week old (or more !) baguette and cut it into pieces, big and litlle one, to make your Soupe à l’oignon !

  4. I did not know that french onion soup was popular in japan. I mean, traditionally all it is is onions, butter, beef stock, cheese, and bread so like i guess its not that surprising that eastern cultures would like it as well ive just never thought about it before

  7. This recipe is definitely originally " or sômething" and quite japanese. because thé genuine recipe is more intricate. Made with red wine , cognac, bouillon…. That one is truly French and truly delicious😊
