  1. En fait je pense qu'à Paris il n'y a pas vraiment de meilleure boulangerie.
Si on change de quartier, on trouvera la meilleure boulangerie du quartier après quelques semaines, mais on ne traversera jamais Paris pour acheter des croissants.

  2. Du Pain et des Idées is an excellent choice. This is no ordinary pastry because they don't have very sophisticated cakes, and that's their talent. It's all very simple things, bread, croissants, pains au chocolat, and the other little things they have. Not much choice, but everything is made on the spot all the time. So everything is lukewarm, everything is fresh, everything is super-crisp. It's a real pleasure. The escargots indeed are to die for, and so are the fine tarts. The fine fig tart in season, because he works with the seasons, in September, is delicious. But the best of the best! Every neighborhood in Paris has an excellent bakery, and the 7 a.m. les croissants, right when they open, when they come out of the oven and they're crispy, is an absolutely incredible experience. It's a must-try because they're hot, really hot from the oven and it's fabulous,so rich in butter that it's scary, but it's so good.
