French Pole Vaulter Responds with Humor After His ‘Package’ Becomes an Internet Sensation

Paris Olympics 2024 viewers may have caught a humorous moment involving pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati, and now, the 21-year-old is embracing the joke.

During the weekend competition, Ammirati tried to clear his target height when his manhood made unexpected contact with the pole. Social media quickly responded with memes and NSFW jokes, but Ammirati didn’t publicly react until Monday (August 3).

On TikTok, the French athlete shared a video of himself blankly staring while dining at a restaurant, accompanied by the message, “POV: tu fais plus de buzz pour ton paquet que pour tes perfs.” According to Google Translate, Ammirati’s quip means “POV: You create more buzz for your package than your performances.”

In the caption, he humorously added, “I don’t really know if I should take it well or not 😂.”

During the men’s pole vault event on Saturday (August 3), the gold, silver, and bronze medals were claimed by Armand Duplantis of Sweden, USA’s Sam Kendricks, and Greece’s Emmanouil Karalis, respectively. Ammirati, who started with jumps of 5.40 meters and 5.60 meters, unfortunately missed his final attempt at 5.70 meters.

However, adult film website CamSoda seems to see potential in Ammirati for the adult entertainment industry. Vice President Daryn Parker reportedly offered him $250,000 for a 60-minute webcam show on their platform, according to TMZ.
