Hi! Do you ever get a bad oyster? I'm a little nervous about home prep because the first time I tried a steamer/steama in New England, someone stopped me and said "oh, that one is bad". Are there visual signs to look for?
Mainer here 👋 raised in house where the oyster festival was an EVENT, highly recommend a chain mail glove (can be as little as $13.99) if you plan on doing this for more then a party trick – and maybe even then. The knife is sharp and can/will slip!
Fun fact depending on where you're from in france you'd have oysters with a shallot sauce like you, or a simple dash of lemon:) i love both but apricots in the sauce is genius ❤

OMG! Thank you for telling me what that tattoo is! 😂 it’s definitely an oyster but apparently my brain wasn’t processing it 😅 lol
Some of the best oysters I’ve had are seaside southeast Alaska taken that morning . The sauce makes them!
Please oil that cutting board
