It shouldn't matter if you're a millionaire or can afford outside accommodations. If you're an athlete, then show what it takes to be an athlete… even if the bed is made of cardboard.

I don't get why Summer Olympic cities insist on even building Olympic Villages at all when they almost always have university dorms available. LA, Salt Lake, and Atlanta all did this, and it worked out very well for them. Especially since those universities already have training facilities available right there on the campuses. Paris just wasted billions that they didn't need to spend.

Kudos to all the athletes who showed up and stayed in the village. But when South Korea complains of the transportation and British complains of the food you know France has totally sacrificed quality and cut corners to host this event. The IOC officials are living it up in 5 star hotels eating 3 Michelin stars food while the athletes have to bring their own toilet paper? Why bother to compete? There’s other events and venues that are more accommodating to elite athletes.
Well they couldn’t have the Triathlon today because of too much pollution in the river, who’s idea was it to hold an event on the river the opening ceremony was disastrous and then they had the railway sabotaged so it’s been a disaster from the beginning and young women are not safe, Paris has & always will be a Shit hole, too expensive, dirty and looks like a third world country.

most athletes can't afford to stay in hotels. paris olympics is atrocious. no air conditioning for cooling in the olympic village. what are they thinking winter olympics. there isn't enough animal protein like eggs and meat on the menu. i am sorry vegetarian and sports don't mix. the beds are made of cardboard hard as a rock to sleep on feels like breaking your back. buses to transport athletes from the village to the competing venues have no air conditioning. that is what happens when you go woke you go broke.

They say they design the room for the athletes for comfort and there's no need for air conditioning, they do it for energy crisis and environmental bs, but in reality the room is uncomfortable and hot to the point some of the contingent buy their own AC unit, even the france athletes also.
It's always with this environmental movement bs with their hypocrisy and theory, when applied in real life then it doesn't work at all, they also force athletes to eat vegan meals for the same reason.
