hi everyone I’m JD from Willow bound journals and I have got a new Journal collection to share with you this is a pretty special one I have been working on this for a long time and actually finished this a while ago but I have been holding on to them because I love them my vision was to make a collection of vintage french journals but this time using beautiful fabric covers with very ious laces and appliques sort of collaged onto the covers so there’s a lovely variety of different cover Styles different sizes and different colors this one has a bit more yellow I love this lace it’s so textured here and some lace here and there’s also some lace under it so you got the collage of laces they’ve all got a bit of a different design this one it’s using some green velvet underneath and then the white lace over the top I just feel like that looks so beautiful so classic in its Simplicity but so gorgeous and there is the back with the bees so I didn’t particularly have a fondness for the bees so I kind of just put the lace over the top and the bees blend in but if you do like the bees I left the back blank cuz I know some people love um you know bees and bugs and all that kind of thing uh so this one here has more of a Maron color scheme with the hint of pink and I love this sweet trim it’s sort of like the feature of the journal here’s the back you can see I’ve collage together different pieces of fabric with the pink flower there very tactile love it very soft very unique cover that one I think that’s slightly different to all of them uh then we’ve got this one which I sort of made as a sort of a pair you can see I did it the same way so there’s a fabric cover base then there is a lace um lace along the bottom and then I put a trim sort of in the middle but to distinguish them you know one is blue one’s purple one is a bit taller and different styles of lace and trim so you can see the full fabric on the back and that this is what it’s taking me a long time like I’ve had this Vision in my head to create these journals for a long time but it took me ages to actually finally do it because I really struggle with covering fabric with covering pretty fabric usually in the past what I would have done if I made these journals it would have just been the fabric by itself just the fabric just the fabric but I’ve progressed a little bit I ventured out of my comfort zone and I’ve layered on top of all of these fabric FACS or or done collag on these Fabrics so this has been actually a big step for me and a big um yeah this is a step of progress for me so this one is really sweet of course blue is my favorite color I love this sort of wallpaper looking floral fabric um so I really do like this one a lot um this one the purple one purple floral really sweet as well bit of layering on the back there as well I’ll will do a foot through of them later on just want to show off these amazing covers that I had so much fun making this one with the beautiful flower at the top here and I thought this matched it perfectly with the purple and the green and this sweet lace and then you can see I’ve collaged or patchworked the back of the cover with all different types of fabrics look at that oh my goodness I am kind of a little bit proud of myself for going out of my comfort zone and seeing these results is yeah I’ve come a long way from where I was same with this cover past me would have just kept this Fabric and would have been too scared to do anything like this um so we’ve got the lace down here I think that’s stunning and then we’ve got this one here apologies for the dog barking in the background and this beautiful Apple Cas so again being a blue girl this one really speaks to me as well I I don’t know I think this is my favorite part of the whole cover stunning stunning stunning stunning and then this one this one feels so nice in the hands it’s kind of like a very soft textured um squishy kind of cover I’ve got the lace up here and I cut out this lace and I love that there too the beautiful flower and the pink one on the back so so oh my goodness I love them all finally work up the courage enough to share them in this video so let me kind of clear these out the way so I can show you flip through of these now they all have authentic vintage and antique papers and documents for the pages and EPA so they have the pockets they have sewing they have well some of them have sewing some of them are just paper clipped in so you can move the things around um but they all come with a lovely lovely amount of and variety of vintage and antique papers ephemeral the lot so this one they I think they all come with a vintage postcard and also some look at this script oh my goodness love it so there’s different all different types of pieces for collage for decorating Pages for however you want to use it I just love vintage french I love script I love stuff like this oh my goodness I just had so much fun putting this JS together they also have a lot of handmade goodies in there so I made a whole bunch of vintage french tags some collage ones using all different authentic documents they all come with some really lovely antique letters some are quite large and fold out like this one really cool some vintage Ledger a tag another letter again they fold out quite a lot so you’ve got a lot to work with there’s another antique letter here and all come with coffee dyed papers and some vintage ledgers this one has pocket page with one of my collage tags again I love all the text and font and the curly writing and the handwriting and the script so cool uh this is one of my vintage dictionary pages with French book and Eiffel Tower envelope in there so got the lovely layers happening as well all the journals are slightly different this is a French wine label French music paper some vum look at this stunning French Ledger um so even though they’re all part of the same collection they do they are all slightly different on the inside um this one such a large document just paper clipped in there but you can take it off so you can use it however you want um one of my St I love the frame and the key with the crown vintage dictionary pages with the French book um so these are all available if anyone is interested these ones are available via email see I love that you can see through all those um I’m hoping there’s a journal for everyone who is interested in this collection that there’s a color that you like um that there’s a style of Journal um and there’s different sizes as well so I know some people prefer smaller journals some larger this is a vintage friend envelope stamp tag there with an authentic French stamp and look at this this one has another postcard at the back and another envelope here which I just these things are so special to me love love love so that’s that one let’s call that one the oh I’m going to struggle with the names um the lace floral um this is the blue applique one okay oh my goodness look at this I tried to put papers that had blue writing on here look at this postcard blue writing again um and yeah I’m going to go a bit quicker now see again blue writing I’m just choosing ones that have more of the blue writing to go with the blue journal um but you kind of get this the idea they’re all different different layout different um oh this one has the blue paper this is my favorite vintage french letter paper oh my goodness been saving some for me um again like look at this look at this the full thing folded up the stamp tag another letter like so much look at this you can see why it took me so long to be able to part with these journals blue Ledger there this one has a seed packet vintage french seed packet oh my goodness yeah I’m going to go a bit faster there are a lot of journals to get through look at this oh my gosh that is one of my favorites this wine label with the Gilded look at that so pretty oh my goodness so it’s just a tiny tiny tiny bit painful to have to look at this part with these because um you know when you have a vision in your head for such a long time wallpaper tag and then you finally get to make it and then you start to fall in love with what you make you know it’s can take a bit of um time to be able to part with them so now is finally the time look at this inside fabric as well look at that this one has a really sweet color combination I think I’ll call this the purple and green floral Journal how about that here’s the postcard with this one bit of um wallpaper pocket tag there again antique letter look at this look at this I love that script so sometimes I did have to use smaller papers for these smaller journals just to be able to fit in here this is a fulls size letter though look at that there’s just so many things I love in these journals vintage french is my favorite theme vintage french feed packet so of course these journals would just have my heart oh and I do try to put like purple writing with more of the purple themed Journal so I kind of went that sort of purple and green pink and green sort of um thing there so I put purple writing wherever I could as well I love this letter folding a letter over a page I love that then we’ve got this um vintage envelope again those were really hard to part with from my collection large letter there but I’ve been collecting wallpaper tag I’ve been collecting all of this vintage french um ephemera and documents for years now and just building up enough over the years so that I could eventually make these journals that I always had a vision for um same with the collection of 12 vintage french journals that I released earlier this year that was another collection that was 2 years in the making I’d made the covers 2 years prior to sharing them the final flip through look at this I love that kind of layer effect there and and um yeah and then had enough to be able to make these as well so this one we’re going to call the purple floral lace one again beautiful fabric look the purple the postcard oh and the the what’s it called the lace and the fabric I believe most of it that I made the covers with came from Kylie from paper Daisy journals and again so I don’t even remember how long ago it was it was quite a few years ago now when I bought a box of fabrics and laces from her and yeah that’s what I mean by it’s taken me this long to be able to use that fabric and Lace because I just kept it in the box and I never used it I I would open it and I would look through everything every now and then but I just wasn’t confident in my sewing skills and my journal making skills to be able to use the lace so again come a long way to finally do this collection um so here a purple letter fold over quite a large one and look at this perfect vintage french envelope cuz it has purple in the lining of it purple stamp tag not stamp tag floral sticker tag on French book page purple again there just hints of what popping up throughout the journal so all the journals are just packed full of you know lots of vintage wrench pages and ephemera um still enough writing space though so you can use it for you know writing and adding your own pieces too and I did do a lot of paper clips as well because I know for me I would get a journal like this and take everything out and have a little stash next to me to be able to use and then I can use the pages however I want this is the blue the blue lace floral one let’s call this one the blue La floral okay oh my goodness look at this sorry I’m getting distracted okay I just oh my gosh I love this page too this paper oh my gosh it’s my favorite of all of the papers for those letters that French blue it’s just gorgeous so I have been a bit Frugal with that as well and just making sure I keep myself some um so I tie in some of the tags and things to the color scheme so this is blue blue butterfly blue Ledger for more of the um like the Maron journal and the other color schemes I don’t put blue Ledger in it cuz I think it clashes so here I love folding this one over look at that that’s fun um so as much as I love the blue Ledger I won’t put it in every Journal if it’s not going to go with the color scheme this one has a doily look at that look at that and my fun little ephemera pieces lots of tags I I’ve made so many tags that’s another reason it took me a while to make these journals because even once I did have all the supplies look at that I had all the papers ready to go I had all the fabric ready to go what I didn’t have is enough like a handmade goodies so I spent a good chunk of time months making lots and lots of vintage french tags in all different styles so with script with collage with stamps with stickers with butterflies like all different types with book page with music paper so that I would have enough tags to put into this collection um again look at this beautiful fabric so this one we’re calling the pink and maroon Journal but I did tie it in with purple cuz I thought you know purpley Maron pink pink purple that kind of thing um there wasn’t a lot of Maron own you know things I had to put in it so I just kind of went more with the pink and purple I believe or I also yeah see I did have a maroon sort of stamp there so that I did well there but um again this folds out large piece of EPA I didn’t cut it up or anything that one’s the full sheet love it um now I can’t remember what I was going to say oh dear and so now we’re getting into more of the smaller journals for those who maybe prefer smaller ones here again it’s a full letter I didn’t cut that up a vintage french envelope red I got went for a bit of red in this journal so again this one has red lines a bit of red purple so yeah I didn’t have much in the way of Maron but I did have a little bit of red peeking through this is sort of Maron there’s red just little details like that I have fun like a little piece of AA there lovely one here and this one again is a full size letter like oh my goodness these are just so special all right now green one for any green lovers out there this one has a vintage green Ledger on the inside and I actually really love that because then you can actually use this I would write on this I would decorate that myself so I have been taking to I’ve made some more journals since this collection as I said I made this quite a while ago um and I have since been doing this technique of something on the front cover but backed with or lined with vintage Ledger on the inside I am having fun doing that and this one’s so sweet too I find yeah with the smaller journals even though I don’t prefer small journals they kind of look really cute because everything is just full size all the ephemera sort of covers the entire page and it just makes it look a bit more I know eye-catching beautiful beautiful seed packet beautiful all right going to go look at that look at that that’s stunning there’s the vintage french postcard look at that stamp I love how large it is and how it says France look at this writing love Green music paper there and lots of fun goodies again the wine label which takes up pretty much the entire space but again I use paper clips so you can take everything out so you can maximize all this space for writing and lovely letter there this is vintage french Ledger look at that oh so cool all right that’s the green one this is the yellow one so sweet so small starting off with a yellow tar tag butterfly tag and of course I use the sunflower or the um the yellow floral there for the um seed packet this one’s so adorable look at it again not my cup of tea the smaller they get the less I would use them personally but I always hear from people saying they love small journals mini journals teeny tiny journals I always think one one time i’ would like to challenge myself and make like the smallest Journal that I could possibly make you know you see people make them out of um like matchboxes and they can fit inside a matchbox I thought maybe that could be a fun challenge cuz they do look amazing cuz when they’re that small every like element of the journal looks so eye-catching so I thought one day maybe I could bring myself to make a tiny tiny tiny little journal for a challenge but I haven’t done so far because I personally like larger journals another Yellow Tag there uh stamp tag same color theme there this one I had to put the full letter um folded over to the other side but again I haven’t cut that you get the full antique letter here to play with so really sweet look at it so adorable so those are the journals we have got um I think there’s eight in the collection 2 4 6 8 like I said they’re available via email so if you are interested
