Hidden deep within the verdant embrace of a rural French town, lies a grand manor house, its façade shrouded in whispers of a past that is now forgotten. This once-stately home, now crumbling and forlorn, was once the vibrant residence of a wealthy French businessman and his beloved wife. This man, a figure of enterprise and adventure, traversed the globe, from the bustling cities of America to the serene temples of Asia, gathering experiences from distant lands.
Yet, for reasons unknown, they vanished without a trace, leaving behind everything they owned. The rooms remain frozen in time, adorned with family portraits, personal mementos, and a decayed library that looks like a scene from a fantastical tale, a world where time stands still and secrets linger in the shadows. All that remains now, is a sole testament to their affluent life.
For over a decade, the manor has stood abandoned, and has slowly become a ghostly relic of a bygone era, its once-opulent interiors now succumbing to the relentless advance of decay. Ceilings start to crumble, books disintegrate into dust, and the air is thick with the scent of dampness and nostalgia.
Today, I will step into the eerie silence of this manor to embark on a journey through time, determined to uncover the mysteries that lie within its walls. Who were the people who called this place home? And what circumstances led them to desert their splendid home, leaving behind all they held dear?
Let’s explore this place together and start piecing together the fragments of its unknown story.

Today I will step into the eerie silence of this manor to embark on a journey through time, determined to uncover the mysteries that lie within these walls. Who were the people that called this place home? And what circumstances led them to desert their splendid home, leaving behind all they held dear? Explomo’s Official Intro Music Welcome back everybody, on a brand new video. And today I’m standing in France, and behind me is this wonderful French manor house that once was a home of a French businessman, who traveled the world. To New York, to Asia, he traveled all over. Had a wonderful wife and they one once lived in this place. It’s been abandoned for a long time, at least a decade. The decay is very advanced. And firstly, we are just gonna stroll around, around, the outside garden. There are also a few sheds that I’m curious to see. So, let’s see was all left behind here. Look at this that’s magical. With all the overgrowth. That’s really cool with all the ivy. Actually, we also have some special guests that you’re gonna see at some point, during his exploration. I already see somebody over here, in my corner. Andrew. – Hello. – I was just introducing that there are some special guests today, in this episode. – And I just walked right into your set. – Yeah. – And here comes another one. – Oh, wait, there is the next. And most of these people, like Andrew, and also like the next person that you will see, I haven’t seen them in four years. So it’s really great to be back again, on this reunion, exploration reunion. – Am I interrupting – Absolutely not, I was just introducing you. – Oh, it’s a beautiful mansion, by the way. You’re really gonna enjoy, if you’re going in there. It’s definitely a time capsule. – Yeah, so, we also got Dan over here from Exploring with Fighters. – Four years! – Yeah, that’s what I just told, four years – Time moves way too quickly. If you don’t get a grip on the time you’re gonna lose it all. – Don’t take it for granted. – Let me go over here. – And we see it in these abandoned places, guys, and you’re also clearly gonna see it inside time will not be friendly, not be friendly. We’re going through this shed part, over here. And I’m curious if there is still gonna be something in it, I’m not sure. And be careful because there are some piles of poop from the cows. There are actually cows freely walking around in this garden. Whoa! We have some holes on the floor, over here. So, I’m definitely not gonna walk inside this room. This barn is a little disappointing. But the house is gonna be the complete opposite, it’s completely furnished. So, you’re really gonna be surprised. And look at the roof of the shed, guys. This is something that you almost only see in France, the roof is giant. And what we see over there, on the walls is actually called a timber design of building. It’s a very artisanal style. But for me, it’s really strange, if we look through our right-hand side, we see the abandoned mansion between the overgrowth. Yet, on the other side, over there, is actually a similar mansion but that one is inhabited. That’s crazy! Why is this one abandoned and the other one still in use? I definitely think these people had some cattle. Whoa, a giant barn. The entire structure of the roof, with all the wooden beams, it’s really cool. Talking about artisanal, look at this device. It’s actually for corn, I believe. Or at least twisting something around, but I believe corn, I’ve seen it before. Over here, we have another little part, you might need to light in here. There are still a few things in here. Some tools. I’m curious where this back door of the shed leads to. Whoa! Talking about overgrowth, this is literally, the garden behind the shed. This hasn’t been trimmed in ages. Over here, you can also see that all the roof panels actually collapsed from the roof above. So, it’s not only the mansion that’s left to its desolate fate, but also the outbuildings included. I just really love these large flowers, over here. I’m not sure how well you can see, but over there, in the overgrowth, there are literally, cows walking around in the garden. Some nice pink flowers. The chirping of birds. This would have made a very serene place to live. Oh! We even have a door, over here. Oh, and it’s heavy. I think we have a basement. Oh, this is a wine cellar. Look at the concave shape of the ceiling. Whoa! The bottles are empty but, I see 2012, there, that’s interesting. 2012, again. So, I think I’m quite right with my estimation of a decade. 2012 really is the last date I’ve seen now. We even have some more bottles, over here You can even see the spider webs, over here. Let’s, let’s head to the mansion right now. Well, I am gonna close this again, with all cows walking around here, and who knows what animal, I would not want to get them trapped inside this basement. Now, let’s walk over this muddy part, and we’re gonna make our way to the backside. Look at this tree, over here, it’s completely moss-draped. Look at the shapes. And actually, there in the distance, I already told you we have some special guests, you already saw two. Here is number tree, and except for the other guys, I’ve still seen this guy two years ago, and over here, we’re finally back exploring in Europe, in France. – Dude, I haven’t been in France in a long time, but the last time we hung out was in America. And before that I don’t even know. It’s been forever but it’s cool that, you know, as we explore around the world, like, we can meet up in different places, doing abandoned places. – Absolutely, like, if it was not for this hobby, this shared passion of ours, we would have most likely never met dude, like. – Definitely not, I would have been stuck in the U.S., too. So, nice that we get to jump around and do this stuff. But, Dude, inside there, I just got out, they have a crazy library. – Whoa, whoa! But not too many spoiler alerts, Josh, like. – The top floor has something scary, too. – Does it? – Yes. – Okay. – I’m not gonna say what it is, but it is pretty, I don’t know, I thought I was scared. I’m a baby, maybe, though, you might be okay. – But it’s great, guys, to just be able to reunite again, you know, with these people. Where [00:10:32]you share this passion with. Just like you people that also like to see these videos, and we can build this community together. – Yeah, Dude. – So, bro I’m really curious about the library, I think I’m gonna get in. – Yeah, yeah, no, get in I’ll let you be. I’m doing my thing right now [00:10:46], take photos of the outside. – All right, enjoy it. – Yeah, see you around. – As I said, we made our way to the back parts and these garden chairs are currently completely mastery[00:10:50] but imagine the former owners once used to sit in these chairs in the serenity, with the birds chirping and just nice sunlight. It’s such a surreal sight. – Also, seeing the backside here, really interesting, typical French. But I’m really excited to show you the inside, and it’s very easy there is literally, a chair standing, it’s wide open. So, let’s go aside. And if you were curious who was behind the camera, it’s my friend Richards, – Hello. – …From Urbex on the roads. – Stay tuned, a lot more to see. – This is crazy. – There’s a complete decayed library, wow, that is definitely something out of the ordinary. Joshua is right. Look at a person in this picture. He looks like a genera or something. A very dignified man, he has a lot of medals. And look at the corner chair, as well. Have some nice intricate carvings. The decay tk. is absolutely fascinating. This place has been sitting here for years. 1928, almost a century ago, on this letter. "My dearest father", "Mon cher Papa".[00:12:21] in French. "I received your letter…" Well, it’s always this t[00:12:28] French hand writing quite hard to read it, but this was a letter to the father. This is a L’illustration book[00:12:43] because we have often found some before. Ther’re even more pictures, as well. A fireplace here. Wow! All these old volumes, most of them are from the beginning of the 1900s. There used to be a wallpaper on this wall, but it is all peeled. This place is really succumbing to it’s natural fate. Oh, look at this corner. This is something straight out of a Harry Potter movie. This chair it has three freaking parts in front. There are, literally, cobwebs between here[00:13:47] so, you can tell people haven’t walked through here for a long time. Also, between these doors completely mold-eaten books. Look at the ceiling, once again. There are also used to be little light fixtures on top there, that would shine light. to showcase all these books. And what are a about? you’re probably curious. Well, there are some story reading books. "Secrets of The Jungle" is the title of that one. Encyclopedias. Whoa, the ones that the top are extremely moldy. Well, and there are actually two doors, two passages. We’re gonna go there in a bit, but we’re firstly heading into what I assume used to be their dining room. Wow! Oh, I’ve seen this before in French castles, but never in a manor house. A record on top of here. Some more books. "Donna Summer. There are some more covers of records here. And also, this very old picture of a family ancestor. So, imagine that this was not just the home of the French businessman, this was probably an estate that was passed on from generation to generation. Oh, and they were interested in monumental buildings, for sure. This is also really captivating. A little laboratory set, with some tubes. At least I think it was for a laboratory, or for[00:15:40] some lights. Interesting! You can tell by the giant table that it must have been a large family that lived here. If we look at the chairs, they have a wonderful [00:15:56] design with a dragon, and even on the tops here. Oh! That looks very ominous. A wonderful porcelain stove, over here. This is a really valuable piece, but it’s extremely heavy, hence, why it’s probably not stolen. Very hard to move that out. And finally look at this cabinet with the books still on the shelves, and then the middle used to be a grandfather clock, and it’s integrated in this design. I’ve never seen that before so, this is really unique. Since I’ve seen the interior of a lot of old French places left in a desolate state. It’s so strange to see the bricks behind the [00:17:05]plaster work. Some signs of black mold, as well. Let’s continue our way through here, and we can tell that somebody in the family was into horse riding. There is also a trophy, over here. From 1974, somewhere in Luxembourg. Some weights of a vintage scale[00:17:29]. Also, some beautiful porcelain work, once more. Oh, this is interesting. This hexagon style is something that is very prevalent and common to see in Italy, but not in France. This even used to be for some champagne. Oh trust me, they definitely had some good times going on here, enjoying their life. Even the morning coat is still hanging here. And you can tell, how big the spiderwebs are. Really nobody has come back to this property. Honestly, in 2020 a lot of explorers have been here, and there were rumors going on that this place was reformed, and it was renovated, but often in the scene there are a lot of lies because people simply, do not want others to go. So, here we are, again. And probably after this video, we are going to see a lot of new pictures, again. Oh, look! Very nice stone, inglenook fireplace, still with the kettle hanging underneath it. And there is another case of a grandfather clock, this one was massive. Look at the kitchen! Maybe I can find an expiration date on this water. Okay, 2022, that’s very strange. That is very odd. Like would it be from explorers? Over here it says "Elodie" and "Brice". That’s probably two names of the former occupants of this manor. Also, still some things for baking. Literally, a lot has remained inside here. Okay. Aaargh, it looks disgusting. Its empty but… This is quite modern looking too, a Samsung microwave. An empty dishwasher. Oh, and I haven’t pointed out the lamp over here, yet, and I also quite like it, especially the framework. And there was another one right next to it, still. Some deorational plates hanging on the wall. And from here we come in the main hallway. Firstly, check out the beautiful tile work. Oh, crazy! Apocalyptic scenes, again. There are tools over here. on the grounds. Umbrellas, still in the holders, and jackets still hanging up. This was once the main front door. More books, over here, on the ground. Oh, look, at the staircase that’s completely skewed, as if it’s gonna collapse any moment. The lamb is even entirely covered by the wallpaper of the ceiling. A really unique cabinet, over here. Whoa! This is stuffed, guys. I cannot open up the other side, it’s locked but this is completely stuffed. They used to make up the table with all this China ware and all these porcelain plates. I’m curious where they’re from. They’re actually from England’s Seaforth And this one? Sincenyn[00:22:09] That’s actually in France. That was a surprising find in this cabinet. Over here, we even have a picture of a little girl. What would’ve happened to her? I got a lot of questions about this place. I’ll show you the dining room, one more time here. And there is only one room on this floor that we’ve not seen, yet. And that is where we had these two passages going from the library room. And you’re probably curious, ooops, gotta be careful, but check it out. What a sight! With all this decay. And there are a lot of photo albums. These pictures are completely faded. Also, rather old photos here. But there are also some newer ones. But let’s just rummage through them. This is most likely the previous generation that lived here. You can tell that it was a very well-to-do family. Wow! 1928, 1922, over a century ago. These are some more modern pictures they’re gonna learn[00:23:50] us more of the last family that lived here. I told you they travelled a lot. Over here, they went on a ski vacation. Over here, we can see the past owner, in New York City. And over here, we can see the wife of the owner, with the owner on the right side respectively. All these mementos covered in dust and debris. So sad, really sad. I believe the secretary over here, is locked Yeah, it is. Oh, look in the corner. Well, they also, definitely, liked golfing, apparently. And then, this one passage leading to the library room, heading [00:25:17] back to it. The other passage has even more books. I cannot believe how many books there are, in this place. And you also might wonder why, like, of course, these are more modern books. So, the people also really liked reading, in general. But, of course, also some books were held from the previous generations. The people we’ve seen in the pictures, and mementos from the 1920s, 1930s. Back then, there was no modern-day Internet. And they actually, used to find all their knowledge inside these books. If you’re wondering what this is over here, it is actually a stairlift. We could see the past owner was already of older age. He most likely coped[00:26:13] a little bit with his mobility. Hence, why there was a stairlift, but these are expensive. So, another sign of his wealth. And of course, very convenient to help him in his everyday life, walking up these stairs. Let’s head into the first room. Oh! A bedroom, very minimal decay. But there is a giant mirror, and, again, many more books. "1933" is on this cover. I’m not sure if you’ve seen it but the curtains are even matching with the wallpaper. It’s all customly made, just like they wanted it. More books, again. And a bathtub. Even a fireplace here, like, the person was having a bath, had a fireplace right next to his bath, so it will be nice and warm. I’ve always never seen a fireplace so close to a bathtub, that’s somehow strange. Whoa! These books are a giants, mostly from the 1900s. A nice wooden ornament, over here. And also, still a magazine "Paris Theatre". Number 74, from 1953. Sometimes, it’s hard to believe because this is even, like, more than 10 years before my parents were even born. And I’m literally, casually, rummaging through this magazine as if it’s normal but… If it was not for this hobby I would, probably, never see these things. That’s probably why I love this hobby so much. Really, being able to get this glimpse of yesteryears, it truly doesn’t get boring. This door is damaged. Oh, this wallpaper is literally, [00:29:03]here. Another toilet. toilet. Let’s see if there are clothes in here, It doesn’t look like it [00:29:12]would also a bathroom. That looks quite clean, to be honest. Usually, there are also a lot of droppings of rats and mice in these bathrooms, but this place is quite free from it. It’s mostly the mold. And, again, a fireplace that used to warm up this bedroom. And over here you see it again, the wallpaper is matching the headboards and the frame of the bed. Crazy! Their wealth is really visible. And is also a very French place, with so many wallpaper. This is actually no normal wallpaper, it’s rather like a cloth wall covering, like fabric, which you also most often only see in chateaus. Yet, the next room is probably my favorite one, on this floor. Wow! Check out this bedroom. I really have the feeling of them[00:30:36] in a castle right now. With a bed like this, you most often only see this in the more generous places. Still, a suit over here, with a velvet inside. A marble fireplace. A wedding dinner, over here. dinner, over here. We cannot even see what used to be displayed in that frame. You can tell somebody else who was in the military. So, most likely military nobility, that once owned this estate. This is actually from a school, in the late 1800s. And look how black this once white ceiling is, all because of moist and humidity. Another picture over here. No date or anything. I could even see Napoleon over there, in the frame. And it is quite logic that this place is going down so badly. I mean, the doors and many windows are just open. So, the elements can freely come inside. Let’s check it out. Whoa this is nice. Standing on the balcony right now, of this estate. You really get a good idea of what it was like at once to wake up here, look in front of you and just see endless meadows. Beautiful! Okay, let’s head back in. Oh! Still,[00:33:03] there’s spinning wheel, over here. A very dusty suitcase. And another bathroom. Notice how all of the bedrooms have their own private bathroom. bathroom. Even all the pictures over here, are just littering the floor. Why? That’s so sad. All the family history is getting lost. There are pictures in this place from your great grandparents. Yet, it’s all going to waste right now. And it’s just gonna fade into negligence, eventually. But we’re continuing. Oh, this room is very decayed. Holy cow! Whoa! A teddy bear over here, on this little children’s chairs, so this was most likely. a room of the child. This book is about Spain and Portugal. Crazy scenes. There was even a bedpan over here, on the floor, next to the bed. A television is still on this trolley table. This even used to be a hand mirror. Absolutely unreal. I cannot really see this place getting renovated. I would say it’s mostly beyond repair. Yet, even over here was a private bathroom, and behind here some shelves. You see Mickey Mouse so, I do think this was the room of a child. Okay, so, so far we’ve seen plenty of old pictures of the family, a library, a lot of books, and wonderful decayed rooms. Finally, we were heading to the attic and there’s something there where we need be rather discrete with and careful, so let’s check it out. Of before I forget it, I told you four special guests, so far you’ve only seen three. So who’s gonna be the fourth? That’s a surprise, so keep watching. Very nice, all this red rug is leading the way up up to this attic. Whoa, there is even a belows over here, hanging on the door knob. Well, if you listen closely you can maybe already hear a British accent in the background. A lot of books, once again. And there are a lot of beds in here. Oh, there is a fourth special guest. – Hey, how you’re doing? I was gonna come and find you, man. – I already met everybody, except you. – Well, there you go. Nice seeing you again, my man. – We have Dave over here. The [00:36:47]explore, bro it’s great to be united. We’ve been hiding too long, man. We’ve come back strong, dude. – Yeah, absolutely. Well, same for you. – I love this place. It is sad, when I look around from Explomo I see all the family photos and stuff and this stuff should be saved. – Yeah, that’s what I thought, like, that’s what I told that, like, this is, like, stuff from their great-grandparents and- – Exactly, yeah. – … it’s all just left the wither away. – And yeah, thanks to Explomo I got to see this place, so. – You’re welcome, buddy[00:37:16] – Thumbs up, man, and it’s lovely seeing you, dude. And hopefully, we can definitely collab again at some point. – Absolutely. Absolutely. – Cool, man. – Well, I’m gonna show the final parts. – Go for it. So enjoy it. And these red rugs rocks are continuing, again. There are so many bathrooms. Oh, and look at this. This must have been a children’s room, as well. Everything in pink, probably from a little girl at once. Even the board games are still there. A vacuum cleaner. A picture of a mother with her child. You really wonder where these people are right now. They seem to be wealthy. Is it may be a story about grief, about not being able to meet an agreement about shares, about who gets what. ‘Cause I really don’t understand it. This was once[00:38:45] such a grand the state. Even old cigar boxes in here. I’m not sure what’s over here. Oh! Another bedroom. Oh, but we do have a bee nest, over there. So I gotta be careful. Look at this on the nightstand. This is like a little weight. And this, ah, finally, we have a name, Mr Jean Pierre. I’m not sure if that was the owner because in the pictures he looked a little bit different, maybe it was his father. Oh, but, yeah, there are a lot of bees. I’m definitely, gonna close this door. And finally, we have one more room, oh, and this is cool to see. Look, they were also into scuba diving or something, or snorkeling. Cool to see as a scuba diver myself. Yeah, I love exploring under water. not only on land, for the people that didn’t know it. And this is an entire attic. And also, over here is a beehive so I’m not gonna walk all the way to the window. But I will try to show you a little bit. Wow! These are truly vintage-looking Whoa! This feels like time warp. Whoa! Whoa! What year are these from? Whoa! Look at this! "1949" is this one, this one to. Really, cool I really like the print work in that time, and the colors. You could really see how that developed throughout all these years. There’s also still some art over here, in this cardboard box. Insane! That’s also as far as I’m gonna go because over there you can just see an entire nucleus of hundreds of bees. of bees. That’s freaking crazy. With that having shown, we’ve come to an end of a place in France, that was actually so stunning and I can’t believe that it has been so well-preserved for being known in the scene for quite a long time. I really think the last time explorers explored this place is all already quite a while ago. But anyway, I really want to thank you for watching through this video. I wonder why so many villas of rich people end up abandoned… maybe business success often comes with heavy burden on family life that their kids want to simply leave behind.

👍👍👍👏👏👏👏

PORQUE NO PONEN OTRA FORMA DE SUBTITULOS EN TODOS LOS IDIOMAS?
CADA VEZ QUE SALE UN ANUNCIO PUBLICITARIO, SE DESAPARECE LA TRADUCCIÓN AUTOMÁTICA Y HAY QUÉ ESTAR PARANDO EL VIDEO, PARA VOLVERLOS A COLOCAR
PLISSSSS SUBTITULOS ESPANISH
I live in the USA and it,s taking me some time to get used to you saying garden instead of yard. That's one tall frig. For me you take too long on photo's, I just skip past. I didn't see anything scary in the library.
