let’s try the 2020 martyr chardonnay from Malabar not only is this Winery really well known for chardonnays I think they produce six different ones so even within the offerings at Malabar you could have a great study but in terms of representing the beadsville bench this is going to be a good example let’s open it up and see what it’s like that’s got a beautiful and delicate Aroma a lot of traditional Chardonnay stuff going on here some green apple a little bit of vanilla a little bit of coconut it’s definitely Oak but it seems subtle let’s give it a try that is wonderful quite tropical on the palette actually there’s a very strong pineapple flavor hint of passion fruit as well and then the sort of toasty coconutty vanilla e notes that come from the oak that Oak influence is very subtle here it’s just been lightly kissed with Oak and the winemakers Really allowed the grapes to speak for themselves it’s delicate and layered and simultaneously toasty yet refreshing
