Another one that may be better as a pairing than on its own.
good evening tonight as you see I have another uh sparkling wine to review this time it’s from Piper Sonoma it’s the Blan the Blanc uh method traditionale from Sona of course as you see established 1980 uh apparently in the early ‘ 80s like that there was a big influx in uh Sonoma California of of French wine makers who came over from like the Champagne region and settled there and uh let me read you the uh what it says on the back here no County Piper syoma sparkling wine Piper syoma has been crafting delightfully elegant sparkling wines in Soma County for nearly 40 years Our Roots are here in this soil and this community we create our sparkling wines and the method traditional to ensure you the you taste the purest expression of both our craft and this place we call home our Blanc to Blanc uh has has a pale straw color Tiny Bubbles and Aromas of green apple Citrus and white flowers the palette is crisp and dry with a long mouthwatering finish we invite you to bring a little Sonoma into your life there you see the website comes from uh heroldsberg California comes in at 12.9% alcohol by volume it’s rather potent for a sparkling wine um apparently Chloe Dixon their resident samier says that this is something that uh is best served with uh cheeses like triple cream Brie and and fish you know of different sorts that’s what I’m going to have some of it with tonight so okay let’s get on with the review here starting with the appearance like they say it’s golden straw appearance with uh juste yeah different size bubbles littleit maybe a little bit lighter than most champagne colors well it’s block to Blan you know white of whes so can you expect okay so that and let’s go to the aroma now definitely get the apples and maybe some Citrus on the nose but not a lot yeah apparently another thing Chloe Dixon said was that it’s their lightest and driest wine they had and I can sort of pick up its sort of mellowness on the smell so okay let’s see what you think about the taste cheers definitely get the same transition in the taste that you do the smell um maybe the Citrus does come in a little more in the taste and and it just finishes very dry like she said so yeah I could see that but it’s not as well rounded as some other sparkling lines I’ve had let me get another sip just to get my final thoughts here yeah that’s it so um Piper Sonoma Blan to Blanc I’m going to say four out of five for this cheers and I’ll talk to you next time
