Come along with me to see the return of Fantasmic to Disneyland! This nighttime spectacular has finally returned and has been updated with slight changes. Dining packages are the way to go if you want the best seats and I tried out the least expensive and most expensive to compare. Rancho del Zocalo is a new dining location to offer the Fantasmic dining package and Blue Bayou’s dining package has returned and is very much the same as before.

hey guys it’s Lisa so I’m here at Disneyland today and Fantasmic is back oh my gosh we have not seen it in over a year and the show is a little bit different a little bit updated and you know what else is new we have some new dining packages so Fantasmic packages over at ranchel Del zalo we’re also going to do Blue Bayou and I am going to compare and contrast for you and we’re going to see which one is better or maybe just the free seating you know open everyone we shall find out but anyway come along with me let’s hang out and let’s do Fantasmic [Music] [Applause] I’m over by the Royal Theater and right now they are doing a rendition of Beauty and the Beast and it is really cute and I just love anything Fantasy Land related in fact over by the Royal Theater they do have the let me see I will actually this is going to be a really bad shot but behind me they have the Rapunzel Tower and if you do not know they do night time it will light up and play music every like 10 or 15 minutes maybe we will come back for that or actually no we’re going to do fantastic what am I talking about but I just love this area I feel very nice about it figuro is to my right and then to my left okay let me see let me let me go down this way for you we have the wanted poster I should just turn this around but yes we have the wanted poster right over there for Flyn Ryder and they can never get his nose right you know what I mean but anyway I just wanted to show you that because it brings me joy let’s go do things and then the first thing we’re going to do is Rancho Del zoko and I’ll show you everything they have for the dining package I keep wanting to call it a Dining Plan and then we will do Blue Bayou but that’s actually another day you know something else I really like about this area is this the music box oh my gosh there’s bubbles oh I also love Bubbles bless the Bubble Wands but okay look we are going to turn the where is it okay here we go [Music] yay they’re moving how exciting am I right wow okay watch and then we’re going to stop [Music] it I think that is so fun and I get really excited when other people do it because the sound the wonderful music brings this area to life so yay music box A+ well since we’re already talking about Fantasmic and amazing things returning to Disneyland you know what I have not paid attention to the castle in quite some time I feel like matter horn I always pay attention to the matter horn also this is a very good duck area Okay the baby ducklings from the spring have become teenagers I do not see a single one anywhere at this very moment over there but not I’m not the teenagers you know but yes let’s have a hand for the beautiful castle and the matter horn oh oh oh okay wait is that a teenager oh wa we have to go this way it’s going to come back around right there it is wait okay is that a it’s obviously a female but is it a teenager or is it just a small adult female I don’t know but yay ducks ducks are joyous ducks are wonderful ducks are magic Donald Duck specifically okay anyway I’m getting off topic oh oh oh never mind wait we do have baby ducklings look they are still around so so cute oh my goodness they’re dunking themselves under the water I love them I could be here all day oh duck butts I could be here all day I swear to [Music] God so one of the brand new dining packages is at Rancho Del zoko so you do have to have a reservation and very specifically for the Fantasmic dining package and then they’ll give you different time slots and you can choose either the first showing of Fantasmic which is at 99 and the second one which is at 10:30 I had to like you know go back in my head and be like is that right but yes I’m pretty sure those are the times anyway I am here at Rancho Del zoko so we are going to test out what they have on the menu I want to try as many things as I can but we shall see I will let you know in just a minute here we go this is the menu for the Fantasmic dining package at Rancho Del zoko so for adults it’s 35 and you have a choice of entree chili verde riblets sweet and spicy shrimp taco potato tacos sweet and savory carneada and for dessert you get the cortadillo and it also comes with a drink I asked for water and they said I could not so I got a soda instead and then on the other side oh also yes that’s my food we will look at it momentarily so this is the kids menu and the kids menu is $25 you get riblets potato tacos or mac and cheese and look the kids can have water but I cannot have water sigh I end up getting the plant-based option and the plant-based option are the potato tacos and they’re served with Picante aoli and guaca Teo God I can’t talk right now anyway yes I got the plant-based option and then my friend ended up getting a different thing so I can show you something else but let’s go ahead and try this and also it’s served with potato salad and rice and beans and let me try the rice and beans first just cuz you know what the ranch Del zoko has a new menu now and they took away the rice and beans which is kind of sad but also I don’t mind the chips because the chips are well they have Donald Duck on them anyway okay let’s try it the beans and rice are totally fine I mean I like plain things and the rice is kind of plain it doesn’t really have a cilantro lime feeling but it looks very cilantro lime but it doesn’t have that flavor and the beans are just totally what you would think so yeah I but I this is what I I get for starting off with the the plain sides but I really want to try the potato salad because it really looks like they dumped a bag of you know like the peas carrots and corn like that Frozen bag it looks like they dumped it in here so let’s try it it looks interesting uh it looks not great but we’re going to see I mean it’s not disgusting actually okay listen I don’t love it and that’s saying something because something about is that I am a big fan of potato salad I love potato salad so much so we’re getting into potato salad season because it’s going to be summer soon but I don’t know about this it’s just a little bit it I can’t even think of words to describe it other than plain it doesn’t have like a lot of flavor going on it just has like that mayonnaise base and you can definitely taste the veggies in it so it’s predominantly that and I sorry I don’t have a great way describing that I’m just like non enthused okay anyway let’s try the potatoes the tacos have so much cilantro on top and I love that I also love saua so it has all that delicious aoli and the guacatillo I listen I have to research that because I don’t really know what that is but anyway let’s get a bite and by the way I love the vegan tacos over at Cina CUA I think those are spectacular so will these beat that I don’t know let’s see I feel conflicted about these because well I do like them and I did have to take two bites to be able to get to the potato cuz the first bite was basically just fried tortilla I love sauces so I love the aoli and I love the guacatillo and it’s it has a nice like soft kind of mellow flavor and it does have a little bit of spice which kind of amps the flavor up a little bit otherwise it would be kind of very middle of the road and then I love the fresh cilantro on top but that’s also just cuz I love cilantro I feel like it also gives it a fresh bit of flavor the only thing is that to compared to the ones at Christino cucumo I actually like those so much more just because they have a ton of like cabbage and it also has like pickled onion and oh I just that is delicious so these are good they’re not bad they’re not spectacular but they’re better than average what my friend got is the sweet and savory caret assada and it’s just marinated short rib and it also comes with beans and rice and it comes with a weird potato salad I don’t know you’re going to to let me know what if you get it let me know what you think about the potato salad cuz I think it’s weird I would rather have the Donald Duck chips but I have the little bit of short rib right here and it also comes with all that delicious cilantro on top so I have high expectations also they were grilling it right when you walked up so that was kind of nice but okay let’s give it a bite I think this one is pretty decent especially cuz the cilantro on top gives it a little bit of fresh flavor and then the short Ro itself it definitely is marinated in something that has the teensiest teensiest amount of spice so if you’re spice ADV first it might be the teensiest amount that puts you over the edge and you’re like oh I can’t handle it but it does have a little bit of sweetness to it to kind of balance it out so I’m into that but ideally I actually love that my friend and I got the two plates cuz now we can split it do a little half and half because I well I mean honestly you’re here just for the Fantasmic package you know o by the way I have to show you the tickets I’ll show you them later too but uh here we go these are the tickets you cannot lose these they are paper they are very important and now for my favorite part of any Meal which is desserts and I am excited because I just love cake and I love white cake I love white frosting and it looks like there’s going to be a little bit of cherry or raspberry in the center it does look a little bit dry on the edges though okay we’re not going to we’re not going to judge a book by its cover though so it’s not the best thing in the world but I am delighted by it it is nice and spongy and soft and Airy and the frosting is really delicious here it definitely gives it like a sugary burst of flavor it really just it tastes kind of just like sugar actually H I take it back maybe that’s not amazing but it has that little bit of cherry I think it’s Cherry I can’t discern if it’s cherry or raspberry but I’m pretty sure it’s Cherry H don’t judge me but it’s right in the middle and it gives it a nice juicy bit of fruity flavor so I you know what the other thing too let’s give it extra points because it has sprinkles yay give it a round of applause I will clap for it sprinkles yay who doesn’t love that but anyway just wanted to give you a oh and also I got a soda because like I said they wouldn’t let me have water welcome to New Orleans Square it is a couple days later and I I’m wearing the same ears so that we don’t get confused you know it’s uh the same video same thinge Fantasmic and I did the Rancho Del zoko dining package already and I saw the show I’m going to show you all the show stuff and the seating and all that kind of stuff at the very end of the video but now we are going to do the blue byou dining package and I am so excited to show you all of the food and then I will show you Fantasmic and it is in fact fantastic since I already saw it but let me tell you about how to get the actual dining reservation so you have to book at 60 well okay No Reservations open 60 days in advance and at 6:00 in the morning and then you can book any of the dining locations well the sit down ones not the quick Sur ones and specifically you have to get the Fantasmic dining package either at riverbell or at ooh Mark Twain or over at Rancho or at Blue Bayou so yes let’s go over to Blue Bayou let’s get some food and then later let’s see the show the little merch card over by Blue Bayou has a Fantasmic sweatshirt I have not seen any other like Fantasmic merch in fact I’m really disappointed that I do not have some Fantasmic Sorcerer Mickey ears very disappointed in myself but yes $45 plain Heather gray which uh listen I like plain things I’m cool with this it doesn’t feel very nice though and look at how thick the print looks although look how cool the print is but you can you see how plasticky it looks not favorable conditions but still so cute just a few steps further and we have reached our destination blue byou look at the beautiful art new V sign also the architecture beautiful and Decor look at those lamps gorgeous but anyway I am going to check in right now and I don’t know if you know this but you can request a water side table that is definitely the way to go and they’re not always able to accommodate but let’s cross our fingers there you can see those are my fingers being crossed that we can get a water side table ask and you shall receive because I have a water side table actually I’ve never sat at this table it’s all the way to one side and that is where they are loading all of the people on Pirates and you know I will be waving at all of them like a like a silly goof a silly goose I will just be like wave back to me please but anyway we are here I have my Fantasmic menu and I’m going to show you everything on it and then I I already glanced in it I kind of want like the normal stuff but I you know like a m Cristo but I know that’s going to be boring will I give in I don’t know we’ll see here is the Fantasmic dining package menu at the Blue Bayou and they have an adult menu and they also have a kids menu I’m not going to bore you by going like individual item by individual item but you can stop the video and take a look and the one thing that I’m very excited about is that you can get mint jeps on tap when you have this so I okay listen I really want to get the money Cristo even though I know that’s probably the worst bang for your buck but I uh I just want it I already ordered and I am I don’t want to disappoint you but I did get the Monty Cristo okay H wait actually I also got a mint Jew liip I feel like you have to get whatever is like specific to the place right like when it’s pumpkin season you want to get all the pumpkin stuff and when it’s like the holidays I’m always like peppermint please because you can always you can only get it there this mint julip well okay technically you can get it outside at the mint julip bar you know but I had to get it better than getting a Coke ooh I just knocked that loudly but let me tell you what I got as an appetizer so I ended up getting the strawberry and pistachio salad and it has to ainoa blue cheese and purple radish with aged balsamic and I already got a perfect bite with a little bit of everything so let’s try it I am so pleased with the fact that I chose the salad this is delicious the other item that was available that I also love is on actually everything on here is on the regular menu but the chicken gumbo is spectacular I don’t know if you’ve ever had it has a little ball of rice at the very top and the the gumbo is so good it is salty it is Savory it is meaty it is fantastic if you have the opportunity I would say get it I wanted to try something a little bit different so back to the salad the strawberries first off are the juiciest most ripe and perfectly red all the way through strawberries and then the quinoa gives it a nice nutty taste and also a good crunchy texture and I love the radish it doesn’t have like a ton of flavor you know but it adds color to the plate and then I just all around I love it so yeah and oh I forgot also the the the dressing delicious a little bit Tangy and all around fantastic anyway I shall show you my entree in just a second look at this beautiful Waterfront view very beautiful o and look there’s the people okay we already it’s they they can’t see us but like we’re waving to them I am like a big giant goof and I don’t know if you know this but there are shooting stars over there uh unfortunately our table is all the way to the side but over there shooting stars that you can wish on every like every minute or so so um let’s pretend we see one right now and let’s wish on it also let’s wave to this boat too I ate every single bit of that salad it’s a seasonal salad and I feel like it was the perfect thing to eat on a nice warm somewhat kind of summer day also my delicious mint jeul liip I am really enjoying this even though a lot of people say that it tastes like toothpaste I kind of agree but I still like it I’m still going to drink it no complaints for me bread service oh my gosh there’s bread service included and I am so excited because I am a huge bread fan I just love it and this looks really it really looks like the cheddar Parker House rolls over at carthy Circle I love that but I am looking at it looks like Rosemary somewhat fluffy not as fluffy and soft as the the ones at car I can tell you that already but let’s take a little bite I think those are really delicious but I will say they are pretty plain also I have to say that Pirates of the Caribbean broke down so I’m not getting to wave to the people I am disappointed my waving to people per minute has dropped drastically here is my plate of normaly because I have not had this in so long this is the Monty Cristo which of course the Blue Bayou is known for and it is it includes potato chips stone fruit salad seasonal preserves and remod and I I already tasted it because I already know you know what it what it’s like and it is delicious I wish there was more powdered sugar that would have pleased me and I could have asked because you know they’re very accommodating but I just didn’t feel like it but really good it’s very like soft and tender with the bread and then the crisp outer shell is nice it just gives it kind of like you know a junk Foody deep Friess and the melty cheese inside is nice and salty and the meat and everything is very soft and then you just dip it in the strawberry Preserve so very good and then the only thing that I’m disappointed by it’s like potato chips instead of french fries come on I I just am not a fan but I am dipping it in the remod and it is fantastic so I guess I take it back I don’t hate the potato chips but I still would have preferred french fries it is my favorite time of any Meal which is dessert I am so excited I have such a sweet tooth so I have one of the three options and this is the crem Brule tar and it is vanilla bean cremola in a tarte shell and this is plant-based which I love because I love plant-based things and there were three options there was also the seasonal sorbet that came with fresh fruit and berries and there was also the chocolate decadence tart which is dark chocolate coffee Custard with a chocolate cookie crust and it was toed with a mous rock and Mickey decoration that is so much going on but I have two of them so my friend ended up getting the chocolate decadence tart and they always have some version of this for the Fantasmic dining package and I I feel like this is the same as the one that I’ve had in the past and it is very rich but I love the cookie crust and then inside of the mousse Rock there was raspberry preserves and it was delightful I really enjoyed it but you have to be really really really into chocolate to be into that and I love the Creme Brule I love it P like it’s the best thing ever except they did revamp it when they made it plant-based it wasn’t always plant-based but I think the plant-based one is also spectacular delicious and it’s just nice that you know if you are vegan or you don’t want you know dairy or any of that stuff that you have something for you so all around a very fun time very good and now we have our Fantasmic tickets and we can go see Fantasmic wait a minute I forgot to tell you that my friends that I’m with they actually ordered something different for their entree they both ordered the black and ribeye and bourbon shrimp for an additional $10 and it had mashed potatoes seasonal vegetables herb marrow butter peppercorn Demi and bourbon Demi and I had a little bit it was fabulous it was really delicious I was actually really surprised by the ribeye it was really tender and of course with the butter it is so good and the mashed potatoes were fantastic I did not eat the shrimp though but my friend say that it was fabulous as well so just wanted to throw that in there because I was just showing you my boring food so anyway yay now we can go oh wait wait we have to say goodbye to the people is they’re going to be a boat that comes by maybe look there’s a firefly right there I don’t know if you can see it’s dangling okay I guess snow boats well we will wave to them in spirit goodbye Pirates so I went to Candy Palace because I was looking for like I don’t know some kind of Fantasmic treat they do have the popcorn the color popcorn but uh I don’t know it’s not really color calling my name and they don’t have any other Fantasmic treats I feel like that’s definitely a missed opportunity but I did get one of my favorite things I got the sorcerer Mickey candy wait is it facing yeah there it is Sorcerer Mickey candy apple I’m very excited about this I love the candy apples at the confectionaries and I’m going to take this home and I mean it’s on theme because it’s uh Sorcerer Mickey right right I’m trying okay I’m trying but also I didn’t realize this at Candy Palace there’s selling tiger tals because Pooh’s corner is closed right now so you know they have to have a place for the tigertails to go and they did they found it over there and I got one I’m excited I’m also going to take this home but I am now in line well not really the line hasn’t started to form but I am kind of in line for the Fantasmic dining package and in case you’re wondering so the different restaurants have different seating areas Blue Bayou is right in the middle so you are like dead center and then to the right is Rancho and to the left is riverbell I’m not sure I can’t remember but either way it’s basically each one to the side but no matter what honestly in my opinion it is a great great seat so I am going to be in the first showing and the other thing that’s kind of cool if you do the first showing you do get to see the fireworks from your section so that’s an added bonus and I just generally think the first showing is a little bit better uh not in quality just in terms of like my feelings about it but yes I’m going to keep you posted and let you know how it goes also I’m sorry this is like a really wacky angle uh I’m using a a wide angle lens and it’s very GoPro it’s a little bit sporty also my head is definitely against this banister it would not be a video of mine unless I was in an awkward place check out this view okay so I’m officially in my spot and I am right up against the railing I am also right in the front and center of the show and I am so excited look at this really nice view Big Thunder over there and yes riverbell is over here also riverbell actually is over here and then Blue Bayou is in the middle and then Rancho Del zoko is right over there and there is an overflow area so if you are just coming with no dining package seating you can be right over there but you’re going to be to the side of the show but anyway this is the view if you get a dining package which is pretty nice [Music] [Music] night of Fantasmic so I did see it twice and in terms of the seating I think that Rancher Del zoko is so much less expensive and you do get a like an immen ly comparable seat you’re not really like it’s splitting hairs if you’re like oh one is better than the other but all around I had so much fun and Fantasmic is different this time around and what they are saying is that at the very end you know how everybody knows there used to be a dragon Murphy and now it’s uh it’s Maleficent on a on a pole you know it’s I I don’t know if I love that part it’s definitely not an upgrade it’s more like a downgrade but I am a cup is half full type of person and I would say all around everything is really fun I’m just so happy it’s back like I haven’t seen it in a while like actually sat down and seen it and I I just loved every part of it it just made me feel like a little kid especially when I saw Steamboat Willie like when he is out there he is giving it 200% and he is getting the crowd going and it just makes me so happy and then also the princesses that always has been my favorite part and I just I loved it when I saw Rapunzel and Flyn Ryder and the I See the Light song I was like I’m not crying are you crying I’m not crying but all around just the best time so I hope you guys had fun today I had the best time and I also hope that this is helpful so let me know if you’re going to
