luxury wine producers making some of the most expensive wine in the world say these specific barrels called futas impact the taste of their product which is why they’re willing to pay up to $50,000 for a single barrel while both American Oak and French Oak can be used to make a futa French Oak is considered far superior which explains why it’s more than twice the cost for one it has a finer grain with rings less than 2 mm apart the slower the tree grows the tighter the grain Fran’s limestone-based soil and cooler temperatures contribute to this slow process this quality allows for a more gradual and controlled release of the oak compounds or tannins into the wine

So what you are sayin is we should eat the rich, understood.
You all know that is BS. The French always thought they were better than everyone… Still the case today.
I really need to find something easy I can make and convence rich people is worth more than a new car
How do you know when a French man's been around your house?
Garbage cans empty and the dogs pregnant

French oak is only considered superior because the french are wine snobs
Alcohol is carcinogen
NZ winemakers just chuck oak shavings in their stainless steel barrels🫢 when artisans gets exploitive, people innovate😂
I still remember that one time there was a blind taste test of wines and the judges tasted the wine and thought of how France had the best wine and from what where it was produced and stuff, but those wines ended up being from Napa County in California which means, the wine judges were biased and would have always made the French wine win on purpose
Expensive this, expensive that.
How about covering real relevant news.
Useless garbage.
Taste like shit
Damn FuTas huh 💀
Another important reason is that France compared to the USA is very small with also much fewer usable Oak trees
Cooler temperature than where?
tell me rich ppl are a joke without telling me rich ppl are a joke
Everything else is superior when it comes to “vs the American” version
Heh, Cracker Barrel, amirite?
France does not have better wine than the US. They like to think they do but it’s all hype and Veblen commodity.
So is that why French wine taste like the inside of a gym sock?
They don't cut wood against the grain, so there shouldn't be that many rings exposed to the wine.
Proof this stuff is all fake, there’s dozens of oak species many American ones can take 50 years to get just a couple inches thick rich people just saying French is better because it seems exotic to rich Americans is wild.
these barrels are called what?
This is dumb 😆🤣
I don't drink alcohol! Saving a lot of money 😂
It has an oaky afterbirth.
Its total bullshit that french people automatically think anything from france is "fAr SUpEriOr" to anything from other countries, and even worse is that people all over the world buy into their bullshit.
Barrel 😅
because they are huge and customized…..
Liberalism at its finest.
Good thing I hate wine and I couldn’t care less
Some people have more money than they deserve.
What a waste of money
Canadian oak is better in my opinion
Money making gimmick
Madness
Need to be a billionaire to be an alcoholic.
Yea it's a marketing pitch , at the end of the day the best one is the one that suits ur individual taste buds
Sounds like a sales pitch designed by snobby French wine makers. It's bloody nonsense, make it how you want.
Yep. Normal barrel, no skill maker, only high quality wood. $50k lol
Lol people are so dumb, just making up reasons to make shit outrageously expensive
Surely olive wood would make a remarkable wine that is good
