We’re finding the best French toast stick.
Let’s talk about that

Or should we say, bonjour, Mythic.
Yes.
Today we are channeling the
sophistication of the French by eating
the most highbrow food of all time.
French toast sticks.

Zees French Toast Sticks Are How You Say,
Bon?
Okay, loompa oompas, today
you’re gonna taste,
guess,
and ultimately choose the best
French toast sticks from Burger King,
Sonic,
Wendy’s,
Carl’s Junior,
and as a little bonus,
we’re throwing in Eggo
French Toaster Sticks,
and IHOP.
And all of these sticks will be served
without syrup via the patent pending
French Kiss.
So, go ahead and put your blindfolds on.
I don’t know how much I need a blindfold,
because I’ve never had any of these.
Yeah.
But you know what?
On brand.
All right, you ready for the first stick?
Maybe we can queen sweep it.
Well,
as you can see,
we can’t,
which means,
yes,
I’m ready.
Let’s do it.
Oh, there it is.
We kind of have to, like, go off of
the other items from this restaurant
you, like, extrapolate what they would
make a French toast stick to be.
And there’s no syrup on that.
They’re all gonna be dry.
And first,
you’re gonna need to think of your,
your rating,
one to ten rating for each.
My score is burnt.
No, mine wasn’t that bad.
So on a one to ten, what is burnt?
Oh, it’s a little spicy, though.
That’s weird.
Mine is not burnt.
Mine is not spicy.
Something, y’all did something to mine.
Y’all gave me a poblano.
Didn’t you?
I knew it for years.
I knew you were gonna sneak in a poblano,
and you finally did it.
I actually do know what you’re saying.
It’s a little spicy.
I know.
There is something in there,
which is strange,
right?
Who would do a spicy
stick?
And I think that
they all kind of are gonna
have this microwave vibe.
This one definitely does.
I’m gonna give it a.
I’ll give it a five.
It’s right down the middle.
It’s starting to grow
on me the more that I,
like,
let it begin to digest a little bit.

Yeah.
Some spicy rubbed off of something else.
That’s my hint,
to myself.

IHOP’s gotta do better than
that with a French toast stick.

It is so small and dejected.
Chewy.

This is definitely not a poblano.
It’s very bready, but not eggy at all.

How did it get so crunchy?
It’s crunchy.
It’s cinnamon.
This is decent.
It’s surprising.
This tastes like real French toast.
Like,
this tastes like just
a slab of French toast.
It could be a little bit
softer on the inside.
It was kind of crunchy
and then chewy inside.
Yeah.
Nothing else.
So, I’m gonna give it a seven.

It almost has an eggnog
sort of vibe to it, doesn’t it?

can they make something this crunchy
at a fast food restaurant?

The largeness of it.

They got so much more room.

That’s a wide one.
This is doing things for
me in the taste region.

Not that it’s not good on its own,
but it feels like.
What do you like about it so much?
The flavor profile, which is
French toast.
It tastes like
bread, that has been dipped in eggs,
and got some cinnamon on it.
And then,
you know,
put into a pan and,
it tastes like French toast.
This is the best one.

It was very wide.

so I really liked it.
But then when I’m really holding it up
against the standard of French toast,

I like it for a churro, but
