Come in, let me show you around my home. Find out what my favorite room is next to my gym … can you guess? And what does this room have to do with Roger Federer, Fabian Cancellara and Sven Wassmer?

All good memories
And uh yeah let me show you one special one…
I actually drank this with Roger Federer,
Sven Wassmer and Fabian Cancellara.
Hello welcome to my house, come
in, let me give you a little tour.
That’s where I relaxed just comfortable and cozy
and a big table for some good nights with friends always nice. I love to have friends over for dinner and some good nights.
We’ve already had quite a few in the off-season and yeah it’s nice to come together.
The kitchen where we make a lot of good food.
Mainly my girlfriend and I just do like easy stuff so smoothies and fast stir fries are my speciality.
Then let’s go upstairs
quickly to the training room.
This is my yoga room and I then practice yoga every morning.
I’m sure you do 😉
can’t you see… I don’t know what that pose is *joking*
Yeah I don’t really do yoga, but I do like a bit of rolling stretching and just kind of hanging on the floor after hard session.
It’s just a nice little corner to relax and switch off the head after training.
Here we have, well… it used to be my sister’s room.
I moved up with the turbo where I do Zwift sessions.
I really ended up loving the view. It’s pretty spectacular and pretty cool. I love it here!
So the nicest gym in the world basically.
I think so I mean it doesn’t really look like a gym it’s just pretty much just a bike and a turbo.
It makes you also enjoy the day even when you’re training indoors which is quite nice.
Here we have the gym as you can see it’s quite simple just a treadmill. I don’t do any weights.
I do my weights with paddle swimming, hill reps and big gear on the bike.
I don’t really, except for sub stability stuff for the core and feet.
Yeah that’s it…
and now actually last but not least the best part.
We’re going to pick a wine for the dinner.
So follow me to see my favorite place at the house.
This is my happy place.
There are a lot of bottles. I see every bottle as a future nice moment with friends and family.
So lots of nice moments coming!
I’ll walk you through quickly. So this is my white wine selection.
Lots of Swiss and Austrian, it’s kind of the focus.
Here we have Pinot, Pinot Noir. Yeah, also Austrian and Swiss oriented.
Here we have Portugal and Spain and then here we have the Italian section of course. They have very good wine.
I love Barolo. This one is really nice, Arnione 2016 and 2018 it’s actually really nice wine, very good price value.
And then here we have the international section. You can
see it’s actually quite a lot of missing.
We have Napa Valley from the US and then, well… this is actually France… but we’re missing Argentina and Chile,…
What else are we missing?
There’s still space, so I can still look out for good wine.
If you know of any good wine let me know!
Here… well actually this, is my French selection.
Mainly all Bordeaux. As you can see they are all quite young.
Most of them are 2020. Still quite some years to go, so they have to rest.
They’ll be ready in maybe like 20 years. I have to be patient.
And here we have some nice memories.
We can go from young to old.
This is a Château Mouton Rothschild this is one of the best Bordeaux.
My stepdad, Urs, he’s always been a fan. He had almost all the bottles.
This we had as a celebration bottle after Roth after the world record.
We were in a restaurant and we discovered they had this bottle. It’s from 2003.
With my family it was a really nice moment that we could celebrate that together as a family last summer.
And then here we have the 1997 it’s my brother’s birth year. He actually gave this to me.
He got quite a few bottles from my stepdad.
My brother had a friends dinner for me, as a thank you for a gift. So they opened the bottle from his year of birth.
This is actually my year 1987, I actually didn’t drink this… This would be worth… I don’t know how much now. But it’s empty.
My stepdad used to have this, so he gave it to me because I think it’s it’s a really pretty bottle.
And then the year 85, my stepdad opened that for a dinner few years ago. We had a nice evening.
This is like super old. We had it to celebrate think his 80th birthday and it’s from 1970.
We drank it 2 years ago, it was a bit too late. I mean it was 50 years old, so we waited a bit too long with that one.
But it was still very impressive that a 50-year old wine can still be nice.
And this it’s not from the Rothschild, but Lynch-Bages I had this with my girlfriend’s uncle at his home.
He opened that for us and it was very nice evening as well.
So I think just all good memories.
These ones in the past and these ones all in the future.
Uh yeah, let me show you one special one. This one here…
This one is very special. That’s the Donatsch Completer.
I discovered this wine with Roger Federer, Sven Wassmer and Fabian Cancellara.
We had a day with Mercedes-Benz.
Sven Wassmer, he owns the Memories restaurant in Bad Ragaz, and he selected this wine for us.
We had a nice glass of wine in the afternoon and had a good time.
After that I wrote to him and said: "what was that wine? I really loved it."
So he introduced me to the Donatsch wine. It’s Swiss from Malans and I got to know him last year.
Yeah, it’s super nice wines, also the Pinot is super nice. But the Completer is a special grape from Switzerland.
It’s a white wine you have that mineral taste and also it’s…
I don’t know I’m not good in describing. I’m just pretending to…
But yeah, I like it when there’s a bit of mineral in it and it still has that bit of sweetness.
Not too flowery or not too much fruit but more like the mineral taste.I really enjoy that kind of grape.
So yeah, that was the little tour. So now we’re going to choose a bottle for dinner.
For tonight’s memory, to just celebrate a good day.
That’s my problem they’re all too young so it’s not that easy to pick yet.
Either we’re going to have one from Napa they’re a bit older or we could go for the Arnione.
I think we should go for that.
I have these little labels it was quite a bit of work. That’s what I do in my free time.
I find it really helpful because it’s very easy to lose the overview.
I could do it on an app, it would be much easier. You can just check and then pick the wine but I think this is way nicer.
So it’s the year 2016 the Arnione it’s 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot and 20% Petit Verdot.
And the most important part, the drink window. So it’s from now on until 2033.
This is really helpful because here I can find the wines I can actually drink now.
I also picked some ratings because I think it’s interesting to compare.
I can’t always go by ratings, but the Robert Parker and Falstaff
I find really good.
It gives you a bit of an indicator. If you pick a wine by feel with this you have a good indicator.
If it’s rated over 90 then you know it’s quite good. We’ve got 94.
I think the price is not so high. It’s $53 for 94 Parker Points.
It’s really good value. I think, I like this one…
So we’re going to pick this one. I mean, what is it Friday? Yeah it’s Friday, so it’s not a Tuesday…right?
You can take something special.
Yes!

Lovely wine cellar sentiments.
What about adding Australia & New Zealand to your international section.
South african wine!
So beautiful, thanks for sharing your gorgeous home! Yea no need for the workout rooms although the yoga area looks great for a peaceful mindful recovery. But the wine room, love it!!
Ahh Dani, you were just in South Africa with James in our wine area. Try Spring Field wines. Made without crushing the grapes and especially their wine called Thunder Child. A vineyard has been set aside where all proceeds go to a local school for unprivileged children.
Reyneke Wines in Stellenbosch – Totally Organic and the future of wine cultivating for sure. Hope that you swing by there sometime.

Absolutely love that wine cellar ❤❤❤
Had a tough race today , disappointing , but great to see my hero’s wine cellar fun – I’ve drank some Sauvignon to ease the pain ❤❤
Creation aus Südafrika – der Winzer Jean-Claude ist am Bielersee aufgewachsen und macht wunderbare „Himmel-auf-Erden“ Weine
Beautiful home and that wine cellar! I almost expected that we would continue with some matching cheese recommendations 😊 It's funny how you have been a household name for a long time now but with every episode of the series, we get to know a bit better the human behind the athlete. It's lovely!
Thanks for the lovely tour! I enjoyed. Have you tried / do you like Japanese plum wine?
That wine cellar is Delux!
Beautiful home and wine cellar!
Wow!!Beautiful house and wine cellar!!
Barley Wine is missing?
Missing wine from Stellenbosch and Franschoek in SA so maybe come back and do African champs again LOL , Great post is super cool all the memories attached to the wines .
Such a wine expert 🤯 🍷
Ich sag ja immer Triathleten haben Geschmack und sind Geniesser💪🍾
Loved this video!! I’m a wine broker and wanted to suggest that if you’re looking
to fill up the international section with something different, I’d go with some new world wines for comparison, from Australia/New Zealand! I think you’ll really enjoy a Cabernet from Margaret River or a Pinot Noir from Central Otago. If you like minerality in your white wine but also a little sweetness, try a Riesling from Western Australia, in particular Frankland River if you can find some! Keep up the amazing content 🙌
Thank you for that. Du bist etwas ganz besonderes für den Sport und das private Leben. Mach weiter so 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
