Tannins are about as integrated as one can ask for. After twenty minutes it’s perfection. Light smoke on leather and tobacco. Medium body. Ripe red fruit on the tongue but a savory middle. The finish is cherry and long.

Brought it to a friend’s house for his birthday with carne asada tacos. His wife saw me open it somewhat serendipitously. She wanted to ask for some but didn’t know how. Poured her a full glass. She was clearly blown away. Asked an hour later if I had any more and I felt bad. Glad that I have her trust in wine now.

A reminder of how good this wine can be with patience.
