hi there welcome back friends or welcome
my name is Joanne and today I’m going to
be sharing with you a recipe for
Mother’s Day it would be a perfect
brunch item or breakfast item and it is
the Brio French toast muffins let’s get
started so let’s go through the
ingredients that we will need you’re
going to need a loaf of the uh bios
bread I just went with the pepp farm of
course you can get um you know a fresh
loaf if you can find it in your
Supermarket or in your bakery you’ll
need two cups of water um vanilla
extract cinnamon uh cinnamon sugar six
eggs and I’m also going to add a little
uh heavy whipping cream to it as well
it’s not in the recipe but I want to use
that and um what we’re going to first
thing we want to do is go ahead and
spray our muffin
pin get that ready and then we’re going
to go ahead and start breaking up the
bread in half in cubes so um I’m going
to use this bowl for now and just go
ahead and start breaking them up

okay I am just you know really just
ripping them up um and I was sitting
here thinking about I can’t tell you how
many recipes I went through trying to
find one that I really wanted to do I
had a recipe for a casserole a French
Toast Casserole but I had noticed that I
did do a casserole one time um on my
channel and I really didn’t want to
repeat the same type of recipe so I
that’s why I ended up with the Brios uh
French toast muffins
um and also I uh was trying to find one
um with more like a a boozy a boozy uh
french toast recipe but
um I just I was wasn’t really sure and
and and in all honesty my kids are going
to be eating these so yeah the booze
probably wouldn’t have been a good idea
but I definitely think that these are
perfect for Mother’s Day um especially
if you’re doing a brunch because you can
set these out as well as have maybe an
egg casserole bacon and sausage you know
if you’re going to do like a buffet type
of setup not only for mother’s day but
just for a brunch in general um you know
I think that would would be um you know
a great thing to have on your table
and um I think everybody would really
enjoy it so I am going to see how much
this is I’m doing 12 muffins uh it said
about 8 to 10 cups of the bread I don’t
think I’m going to need to use the whole
loaf uh but you know we’ll finish this
piece off right here but we’ll see once
we start um filling up the muffins and
um see how much we need so here we go so
let’s go ahead and add all the other
ingredients so we’re going to do the two
cups of
milk it is 1 tbspoon of
vanilla right
one
yes
and two tablespoons of sugar I also like
this recipe
because some of them had one cup to two
cups of sugar that’s a little
crazy and uh let’s see and a table spoon
of cinnamon and this is all stick
into should have
uh it’s okay one yes one I’m just going
to add a little extra nothing wrong with
a little extra cinnamon
right okay so um let’s get the
eggs and it is six eggs
two and it smells so good there’s
nothing like the smell of
cinnamon and I am going to add just a
little bit of the
um what do you call that got whipping
cream the heavy whipping cream I’m just
G to put a little bit of a dash of it in
there okay yeah that’s good okay let’s
go ahead and okay also want to mention
that I do have the stove preheat to
350ยฐ okay so now we could do this two
ways we can
either go ahead and add the bread to the
egg mixture or we can
put the bread in the muffin tins first
and then add the egg mixture over which
do I think will be
easier
um all right you know what let’s try it
this way first and uh what you want to
do is actually build up the muffin up
and out of the um
tin so let’s see
okay so let me get a I just did one and
I got to be honest with you I think I am
going to go ahead and mix the bread in
with the egg mixture it’s kind of hard
to
tell um you know how far down and it’s
going to be soaking up the egg mixture
so I think I might do it the other
way um yeah I’m going to do it that way
so let me just go ahead and start
adding the bread and then also I think
this
way the bread mixture is really getting
soaked in the in the flavor of the eggs
and the cinnamon and the sugar at least
that’s what I
think yeah I definitely think it’s
better this way
okay yeah and I think I want to work a
little bit faster because I don’t want
it to soak up all the the egg mixture
and I think there’s a coule I think I
should put a little bit more in in here
okay I’m going to speed this up
so yeah I’ll
so they’re all filled what I’m going to
do is just in a bowl I’m going to mix
some more cinnamon and sugar and then
I’m just going to sprinkle it on top of
course at this point you could probably
add fruit
or maybe you know strawberries chocolate
chips something like you know if you
want to put some kind of topping on them
individually but um yeah that’s what I’m
going to do right now so I’m just going
to sprinkle
a little bit on top of each one and then
we’re going to go ahead put them in the
oven and I think it was ah I’m making a
mess making a mess
to
um I
think about a half
hour I don’t know I’ll double check let
me just go ahead finish putting this on
top and then we will get these in the
oven
I think I am going to do a little bit of
a cream cheese icing on it CU I think
that’ll
really really be a great Finishing Touch
on these and they probably look much
prettier
too okay use this little bit up okay so
here we go all for the oven and I’ll
show you what they look like um you know
when they come in let’s just take them
take a look look at these they just came
out of the oven they look delicious they
smell delicious it’s too bad we don’t
have smell a
vision okay I’m going to let these go
ahead and sit and cool and then I’m
going to put the cream cheese icing on
top and I’ll show you what they look
like um when they’re finished yum they
look
good okay so I just went ahead and made
the cream cheese um
butter and um I use some powdered sugar
as well just to make the
icing and I’m going to go ahead I’m
going to ice the
muffins
and that’s it I’m going to show you what
they look like inside too I thought I
was recording while I was icing the
muffin but obviously I wasn’t but this
is how it came out I think I
also would have preferred it to be
drizzled on when they came out hot so um
I might try to
redo um maybe heat it up a little bit so
it melts a little bit and try to do a
drizzle on the rest of them but they
look good I think I’m going to skip
putting any icing on any of them but I
wanted to show you what it looked like
inside um they they look delicious and I
didn’t I didn’t take a bite out of it
yet um but I
will and I will let you know but I think
what I’m going to do is just keep the
rest of them without any icing I um
honestly didn’t care for the cream
cheese
on French toast I just thought maybe it
would look pretty but for me personally
I wouldn’t like that combination but you
know you can put whatever you want on it
obviously you can it just use like maple
syrup cuz you know um it is essentially
French toast so I’m going to go ahead
and
um get these plated and then we’ll end
this V okay my friends this is it the
Brio French toast muffins they look
delicious I had a little bit of it does
taste delicious um definitely could put
all kinds of toppings on here just like
you would with french toast you can put
you know strawberries blueberries little
powdered sugar maple syrup even a little
um chocolate syrup would do really nice
on top of these I think they’re easy to
make and perfect for your Mother’s Day
brunch or breakfast or any time of the
year really um they’re perfect for you
know just to heat up and go I hope that
