This year’s wine harvest in France has been knocked off course by a cold snap in Spring.
Production from Bordeaux to Alsace has dropped so dramatically that it could hit a ‘historic low.’
The ministry of agriculture say this year’s harvest is set to come in 16% lower than the five-year average and worse than 1991, a vintage also hit hard by frost.
Such a drop could mean that wines from some areas become harder to find and more expensive.
