    Many years ago I read a lovely short novel by Alain Fournier, “Le Grand Meaulne”. It gave such an impression of rural France and the beautiful French countryside. I was fortunate see a bit of it finally in 2005 as a student abroad. We took the train from Paris to Toulouse, through the Bordeaux region. Saw vineyards and winding creeks. I long to return and spend much more time all over the country and mountains.

    Also saw violet fields in Toulouse and tasted violet ice cream!!!

    I went to Provence on a school trip when I was 17 (and saw Cezanne's studio!) But I wish I had the maturity and perspective to enjoy it as I would at my current age.

    I loved your videos, your shoots are perfect, your voice, the details you showed, even giving prices, locations, time of the day…This inspired me to do the same route, Saint-Marie, visit the lavender field, the lake, on this April 2024 from Florida-US, for my birthday. My daughter and I going but I'd like to know what is this route's name that you went from St-Marie to stop at the lake. We are planning to go from Paris, and rent a car. I couldn't find out. I really appreciate. Merci.
