Angelina Jolie alleges ‘history’ of Brad Pitt’s physical abuse prior to 2016 plane ride in new Miraval lawsuit filing
Angelina Jolie has escalated her legal battle with Brad Pitt over the ownership of the French winery, Miraval, they once co-owned. In recently filed court documents, Jolie alleges a disturbing pattern of physical abuse inflicted by Pitt on her prior to their infamous 2016 plane journey.
According to the motion filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Jolie asserts that she made efforts to sell her stake in Miraval to Pitt. However, negotiations soured when Pitt insisted that any sale be contingent upon Jolie signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) preventing her from discussing his alleged abuse of her and their children, thereby linking his personal reputation to the winery’s business affairs.
This latest legal maneuver is a response to Pitt’s 2022 lawsuit, wherein he claimed that neither party could sell their stake in Miraval without the other’s consent. In a subsequent filing, Pitt characterized Jolie’s attempt to sell her stake as retaliatory following a custody ruling.
Jolie’s filing also indicates that the alleged abuse predates the highly publicized 2016 plane incident, though specific details are not provided. She asserts her willingness to present evidence, including testimony, emails, and photographs, to substantiate her claims during trial.
The document reveals that Jolie initially agreed to a more limited NDA focused on not disparaging Miraval’s wine business as part of the sale negotiations. However, Pitt allegedly insisted on a broader NDA, which Jolie declined to sign.
In response to the new allegations, Pitt’s representative declined to comment. However, Jolie’s attorney, Paul Murphy, emphasized Pitt’s refusal to purchase her stake without the NDA and the significance of this refusal in the context of Pitt’s alleged abuse.
Despite the traumatic events, Jolie chose not to pursue legal action against Pitt in 2016, believing that his acknowledgment of responsibility and commitment to family healing were paramount. This decision contrasts with Pitt’s representative’s statement, denying some of the allegations made by Jolie.
The legal wrangling over Miraval continues to take a toll on Jolie and their family, both emotionally and financially. Jolie expresses a desire for healing and stability for their children, hoping Pitt shares the same sentiment.
The couple, who divorced in 2016, reached a joint custody agreement in 2021. However, legal disputes over Miraval persist, a property they acquired together in 2008

For your kids' sake, just stop publicly bashing their father.. we don't need to hear about your personal grievances.. that's your personal business.
BS.Lies 🤥
and then why did you stay? these people claiming being abused and yet stayed when she is not really helpless….
She’s estranged those children from their father. This will bite her some day
Come on. Spellcheck please, is Jolie selling beef ( steak) or her interest in a winery (stake)!
Why does she always have to be completely in control of everything
Doesn't she realize they keep the winery for all the kids. So when they are older, they have somewhere to work or retire
I think she’s a big liar! Nothing is ever her fault!
