022 This week, we are on our way back to France to open our little stonehouse. We find a few surprise guests (Spiders, and Stink bugs) but the house is in really great condition and we are grateful to be back.

Thanks again for watching,

Michael and April

Description of Us:
We are a couple of American Francophiles who have come to truly appreciate so many things about French culture. We love the food, wine, art, and history of France, but especially the people we have met along the way. Join us as we make our dream of living in France a reality. Follow us as we explore the French living and a new life there with our beloved dog, Bernice. We enjoy learning about stone house renovation, wine, cooking, brocante shopping, and the French community we are now a part of.

  3. Bon retour en France. Ici en Charente nous avons un ciel gris mais le temps est doux, hier nous avions un magnifique soleil. Profitez de votre jolie maison et du jardin et faites de belles balades avec Bernice. Welcome back to France. Here in Charente we have gray skies but the weather is mild, yesterday we had beautiful sunshine. Enjoy your lovely home and garden and take some nice walks with Bernice.

  4. I really enjoy your videos and the way you incorporate the surrounding area and life of the locals. It brings back a lot of memories from the time we spent traveling in France.

  5. Congrats on making it safely back to France. I'm admittedly jealous. Leaving the US (with no plans to return) to live in rural France sounds sublime. Someday…

  6. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
We also have fond memories of traveling in the Normandie area.
Wishing you all the best from Western Australia.

  7. You need 2 metal fans on your fire. They work by convection and are designed to blow the heat into the room instead of up the chimney, they're usually small, put one on each side as its a big fire 😊

  8. Do you somehow time your arrivals/departures to CDG to avoid the unbelievable traffic getting in/out of Paris? If so, please share! It seems you get to the Limoges area much more quickly than expected given traffic around Paris.
