My first 50…I believe the category was created in early 2033. I know Sandeman and Taylor both also have a fifty but haven’t seen any others out there yet. I am out of season here drinking tawny…but then again I never really was a seasonal drinker. Maybe we can say I’m celebrating the end of winter?

Coppery brown. Deep raisin character, spice, walnut. Take a handful of raisins and throw them in some egg nog and you have the basic idea. The palate is soft and luxurious but the acid and alcohol provide lift and we are in total harmony. Cleansing, uplifting, recommended. I have one more in the basement, which may end up being my birthday wine in July!
