We are a couple of American Francophiles who have come to truly appreciate so many things about French culture. We love the food, wine, art, and history of France, but especially the people we have met along the way. Join us as we make our dream of living in France a reality. Welcome back this week we are getting ready to close everything and catch our plane back to the United States it has been a wonderful visit and we’re so grateful for every moment so we took on the task of getting everything emptied out and cleaned and ready to go we met

Some of the nicest neighbors you could hope to know and we’re just dropping off our extra vegetables and things from the fridge at their house this is just a couple of houses down where Clemy and viat twist live so it’s just a quick walk over and we leave for a hotel near

Charl toal and catch a very early flight to America and our kids as we get ready to go it’s um almost like saying goodbye to a person you know reminiscing of the laundry on the line and the peace that we feel and we’re hoping to take a little of that with us

So these are our last images and final farewell uh pictures as we get ready to depart so I hope you enjoy our final bits of farewell and goodbye for Now all right last look before we lock up and leave I’ve supported these trees as best I could with the little staks I had in the shed hopefully the wind starts to blow this will be enough these trees back here of course are a little more protected because of this big building or

Barn The Apple Tree here it’s a little more exposed I’m told that the prevailing winds are East West and of course this road runs runs East West it’s still a little protected from the fence there but hopefully they’ll be supported enough to not get knocked over if the wind starts to

Blow and down next spring little trees I hope they survive this area here I’m hoping to get back in the spring and get a rotor tiller and till it up for a summer garden my gate seems to be holding up epoxied this hinge here and it seems to be holding all right

Closing the gate hoping for the best we know that we will be returning in just a few short weeks and it doesn’t make it easier to go the return will be something that will keep us going in the weeks that we are our way enjoy this drive back into Paris Well last day in France near headed Home well it was a close one but we made our plane and are heading back to San Francisco we wanted to say thank you to everyone who has commented and and subscribed and especially to those of you who have given us the great tips in the comments let us know what you would
